December 23, 2012 12:00 to 4:00 PM (Two Sunday class - 12/16 & 12/23)	Scrollsaw: Make a 3-D Christmas Ornament - with Chuck Collins Overview: In this two-Sunday class, you will learn how to design, lay-out and miter cut individual pieces to make up the 3D egg using the scroll saw. The plans allow for originality in the designs used, the wood selection and the finish. This technique could easily be modified to make a number of different objects, such as Christmas ornaments. December 30, 2012 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM	Turning Wooden Pens - with David Tilson Overview: Learn the tricks to turning your own wooden pens from a master pen turner. You’ll get step-by-step guidance through the entire process, from preparing the project materials to fine-tuning the final fit of the dovetail joint, all while learning how to cut dovetails with your own tools! Topics include lathes (features and safe operation), woodturning tools, sharpening, and turning between centers, with emphasis on developing proper technique with the skew chisel and spindle gouges. Students must bring their own safety glasses, and may wish to bring their own sharp spindle gouge and skew chisel. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Skill Level: Beginner Class Fee: $80.00	Orange

May 12, 2013 12 to 4 PM	Sharpening - with David Tilson Overview: In this class you’ll learn how to sharpen common woodworking tools using methods such as water- and oilstones, bench grinders, the Tormek and Work Sharp grinding systems, and more. Topics include bevel angles, secondary bevels (microbevels) and hollow grinds; polishing compounds, rust removal & prevention, and diamond stones. It is strongly recommended that students bring their own tools to sharpen, and learn on their own sharpening equipment if possible. However, this also might be a great way to try out that shiny blue grinder you've been eyeing for months now! Also, students must bring their own safety glasses. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Skill Level: Beginner Class Fee: $40.00	Orange

May 19, 2013 12 to 4 PM	Router Basics - with David Tilson Overview: If you want to expand your woodworking repertoire, the router is the tool to master. A very limited number of routers are available for students who cannot bring their own router; reservations must be made in advance. May 26, 2013 11:30 AM to 4 PM	Woodturning II: Bowls - with David Tilson Overview: This class builds on the skills and knowledge developed in Woodturning I. Students will learn about faceplate turning, bowl chucks and accessories; scrapers and specialty hollowing tools; and will develop cross-grain faceplate turning skills while turning an open-form bowl. Students must bring their own safety glasses, and may also bring their own sharp (ready-to-use) bowl gouge if desired. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. June 9, 2013 12 to 4 PM	Fearless Finishing - with David Tilson Overview: Take the fear out of finishing! This two-session class (6/9 and 6/16) teaches everything you need to know to apply the perfect finish to just about any woodworking project. Students will learn finishing techniques by applying several finishes to sample boards during the class, which they will keep for future reference.
