Introduction to Routers and Router Tables - with Stan Kirkavitch
Overview: This session will explain the benefits of Router Tables, Lifts and set up tools including set up blocks, set up bars and height gauges. Learn the proper set up and use of the router table including using the fence and fulcrum pin as well as the correct speed settings for your router. Also learn basic hand routing techniques and safety. You will also learn the correct direction for hand routing as well as climb routing.

Preparing Boards for Glue up using a Jointer and Planer - with Stan Kirkavitch
Overview: Gluing smaller boards together to make larger boards is something that every woodworker will need to do if you are making larger projects. It isn't difficult if you know the secrets. Join Stan to learn how to use the jointer and planer to machine wood for perfect glue ups. Learn the proper way to clamp and glue boards to ensure they stay together. Learn the secrets of making large boards that won't warp over time.

Overview: Learn the differences between Face Frame and Non Face Frame concealed hinges including how to determine the "overlay" for both style of hinges. Learn how to install hinges using various jigs for routers and Forstner bits. Also learn the implications of door edge profiles and how they impact the installation of concealed hinges.

Finishing (Demonstration and Lecture) - with Stan Kirkavitch
Overview: Learn how to produce a fine finish from sanding to top coats. Materials will include pigmented stains, dye stains, oils, oil finishes, shellac and Arm-R-Seal. Proceedures will include the proper sanding schedule, scraping with a card scraper, "building" a finish and finishing products application methods.
