Overview: This class will begin with a discussion of the various materials and types of blades that can be used with the scroll saw as well as other tools frequently used to complete projects. You will then learn to prepare a project for cutting and then get familiar with the scroll saw by practicing various cuts. You will then be cutting out a set of coasters using two different types of wood. Suggestions for sanding and finishing will then be covered.

Overview: Class Description:
In this three day class you will learn the correct steps necessary to properly design a segmented bowl, you will then learn how to accurately cut and glue up the bowl layers, how to flatten the ring layers, glue up the final bowl and then turn the bowl smooth. Student will need to provide both hearing and eye protection and material for note taking.
Prerequisites: Intermediate level-student must be familiar with use of lathe and table saw.
