Rockler Safety Class - with Guy Willacker

Date:  July 1, 2016

Time:  12pm - 1:30pm

Overview:  This is a mandatory safety class that is a prerequisite for ALL Rockler Orange classes offered.  Students will review safety features of shop power tools, safety equipment, and how to safely operate shop machinery.

Skill Level:  Beginner - Advanced

Introduction to Segmented Turning - with Don Scott

Date:  July 3, 10 & 17, 2016

Time:  11:30am - 3:30pm

Overview:  Learn to cut, glue up, and turn a segmented project on the lathe.  This is a 3 consecutive Sunday afternoon class.  Students are required to supply their own safety equipment.  The Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class is a prerequisite to sign up for this class.  This is a great way to increase your abilities on the lathe!  Students should have experience in lathe turning.  The basic bowl turning class is suggested.

Skill Level:   Intermediate

Class Fee:  $100 + materials (materials list will be available)

Router Table Basics - with Guy Willacker

Date:  July 16, 2016

Time:  1pm - 5pm

Overview:  Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to get the most out of your router table.  Learn how to operate this awesome tool to make your woodworking projects extraordinary.

Skill Level:  Beginner - Intermediate

Class Fee:  $45 + Materials

 

 

 

Intro to the Table Saw

Date:  July 23, 2016

Time:  1pm - 5pm

Overview:  Students will learn Table Saw basics including how to use the table saw safely, how to maintain your investment, and cutting techniques and saw jigs.  Also will be discussed blade selection.  The Orange basic Safety Class is a prerequisite for all classes.  Take this opportunity to cut on a SawStop Table Saw used in the class.

Skill Level:  Beginner - Intermediate

Overview:  Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to use the Rockler Complete Dovetail Jig or the 4200 series Porter Cable Dovetail Jigs.  Students will need to supply their own jigs and routers.

Skill Level:  Beginner - Intermediate

Class Fee:  $45 + Materials
