Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class. Learn how to sharpen your hand tools and turning tools on various equipment and various technics. Students are encouraged to bring in some of their own tools to sharpen. This is a great way to test out that Tormek you have had your eye on!

Beginning Bowl Turning with Don Scott

Date: Sunday, October 9, 2016

Time: 11:30AM-3:30PM

Overview: Learn to turn a bowl on a lathe. Students are required to provide their own safety equipment. The Rockler Orange Shop Safety Class is a prerequisite to sign up for this class.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Fee: $45 + Materials



Making Your Own Cutting Board with Mike Ward

Date: Sundays (3), October 16, October 23, October 30

Time: 12PM-3:30PM

Overview: Come and make your own custom cutting board. From selecting woods, cutting materials, glue up process, routing the cutting board, and finishing the board. Students will be using a vast number of tools in the shop (Table Saw, Miter Saw, Jointer, Planer, Drum Sander, and Router Table.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Fee: $75 + Materials



Intro to Dovetail Jigs with Mike Ward

Date: Saturday, October 22, 2016

Time: 1PM-5PM

Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to use the Rockler Complete Dovetail Jig or the 4200 series Porter Cable Dovetail Jigs.  Students will need to supply their own jigs and routers.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Class Fee: $45 + Materials



Intro to Pen Turning with Mike Ward

Date: Sunday, October 23, 2016

Time: 11:30AM-3:30PM

Overview: Learn to turn wooden pen kits on the lathe. They make a great gift and they are fun to make. Students are required to provide their own safety equipment. The Rockler Orange Shop Safety Class is a prerequisite to sign up for this class.
