Intro to the Bandsaw  with Don Scott

Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to properly use the band saw.  Students with learn how to maintenance this tool.   

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Orange Basic Safety Class with Guy Willacker

Date: September 5, 2015

Time: 10:30am - 12pm

Overview: This is a basic safety class which will be required for all future Orange Rockler classes.  The class is free and will review basic safety procedures and the required safety equipment to participate in all Orange Rockler classes.  Participants will be required to provide own safety equipment or purchase a safety equipment kit prior to participating in any Orange Rockler class  (Class is limited to 10 participants).  Check with store for upcoming classes.

Guest Speaker- Ken Cowell

Overview: Ken Cowell teaches marquetry at his studio and is also an accomplished turner.  4 Time "Best of Show" winner at the Orange County Fair and most recently the 2105 "Best of Show" winner at the OC Fair.  Ken has also won 6 1st place awards in turning at the OC Fair.  Come and check out what he offers in his marquetry classes at his studio in Yorba Linda. classes.

Finishing Basics

Time: 1pm - 5pm

Turning Wooden Pens with Mike Ward

Date: September 19, 2015

Time: 1pm - 5pm

Overview: Learn to turn wooden pen kits on the lathe.  They make a great gift and they are fun to make.   Students are required to provide their own safety equipment.   The Rockler Orange Shop Safety Class is a prerequisite to sign up for this class.

Sharpening with Mike Ward

Date: September 27, 2015

Time: 11:30am - 3:30pm

Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to sharpen your hand tools and turning tools on various equipment.  Students are encouraged to bring in some of their own tools to sharpen.

Intermediate Scroll Sawing with Chuck Collins

Date: October 10, 2015

Time: 1pm - 5pm

Overview: Previous Scroll Saw experience required.  Learn to get the most out of your scroll saw.  Chuck is an award winning artist who has won "Best of Show" at the OC Fair as well as many Blue Ribbons at Del Mar and OC Fair!   Students are required to provide their own safety equipment.   The Rockler Orange Shop Safety Class is a prerequisite to sign up for this class.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Class Fee: $50 + Materials



Intro to Segmented Turning with Don Scott

Date: October 11, 18 & 25, 2015

Time: 11:30am - 3:30pm

Overview: Learn to cut, glue up, and turn segmented projects on a lathe.  This is a 3 consecutive Sunday afternoon class.  Students required to supply their own safety equipment.  The Rockler Orange Shop Safety Class is a prerequisite to sign up for this class.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Class Fee: $100 + Materials



Intro to the Bandsaw - with Don Scott

Date: October 17, 2015

Time: 1pm - 5pm

Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to properly use the bandsaw.  Students with learn how to maintenance this tool.

Introduction to Hand Routers Class with Guy Willacker

Date: October 24, 2015

Time: 1pm - 5pm

Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to get the most out of your hand router.  Learn how to operate this awesome tool to make your woodworking projects extraordinary.  Students must provide their own hand router for this class.  This is a 2-day class meeting on consecutive Monday evenings.

Skill Level: Beginner

Class Fee: $45 + Materials



Intro to Dovetail Jigs - with Guy Willacker

Date: October 31, 2015

Time: 1pm - 5pm

Overview: Students must have taken the Rockler Orange Basic Safety Class.  Learn how to use the Rockler Complete Dovetail Jig or the 4200 series Porter Cable Dovetail Jigs.  Students will need to supply their own jigs and routers.

Skill Level: Beginner
