Beginning Turning with Robert Streeter

Date: Saturday, 21 January 2017

Time:  1pm - 4pm

Overview:This is the class for the first time turner or anyone with limited experience in turning. The student will be introduced to the lathe and many of the common tools used in wood turning, including the proper use of said tools. The student will learn a variety of techniques of turning between centers, including sharpening tools. There will be a strong emphasis on safety. Students are required to provide their own safety glasses and dust mask. A safety face shield is also recommended. Minimum Participants: 4; Maximum Participants: 4

Skill Level: Beginner

Finishing Basics with Roger Davis

Date: Saturday, 28 January 2017

Time:  1pm - 4pm

Overview:Learn the basics of finishing featuring Zar and General Finishes products from surface preparation through sanding; Oil based or Water based, what your choices are. Also, Gel Stains, Dye Stains, Milk Paint and others to get the desired look of your project. Minimum Participants: 5; Maximum Participants: 10
