With the Rockler Coping Sled making specialty joints couldn’t be any simpler. This demo will quickly show how easy it is to make quality looking woodworking joints.

This Demo will primarily be focused on turning small wooden boxes using the 2x2x6 walnut featured in the flyer. We will also be turning pens as time permits.

Learn how to craft your own custom handles for our grilling tool set.

7/16/2016 Router Table Techniques - 11AM
This demo will focus around the large Box Joint Jig and projects that can be made easily with it on a router Table.

7/16/2016 Dovetail Jig - 1PM
Jim will demonstrate how to make dovetail joints using the Rockler Dovetail jig.

7/23/2016 Table Saw Techniques - 11AM
Demonstration will cover all the benefits and features of after-market miter gauges such as the Incra and also some of the safety accessories that make the operation of a table saw more enjoyable.

7/23/2016 SawStop - 1PM
Tyler will show off the safety features as well as the smooth operation of the SawStop.

7/30/2016 Wood Finishing Techniques - 11AM
Basic Finishing techniques using HVLP systems and EF Finishes. Cover advantages and disadvantages of sprayers of different price ranges.

7/30/2016 Soygel Stripper - 1PM
Made with 100% American Grown Soybeans. Removes multiple coatings of most finishes.

8/6/2016 Wood Turning Techniques - 11AM
Focus will be on the simplicity of turning handles for multiple kits Rockler offers.

8/6/2016 Full Spectrum Laser - 1PM
The new way to engrave on wood, leather, rock, plastic and much more.

8/13/2016 Drawer Building - 11AM
This demo will focus on the construction of drawers using the dovetail jig to give the look of fine craftsmanship. There will also be discussion of all the different jigs available for hardware installation.

8/13/2016 Raised Panel Doors - 1PM
Jim will show you different techniques on making raised panel doors.

8/20/2016 Triton Work Center - 11AM
Will focus primarily on the Work Center but will also cover other Triton Tools.

8/20/2016 Cove cutting Jig - 1PM
Learn how easy it is to make your own custom coves using the Rockler jig.

8/27/2016 Sign Making - 11AM
This demonstration will show how simple the set up and routing of signs can be using Rockler sign making Kits and a compact plunge router.

8/27/2016 Butterfly Inlays - 1PM
Jim will demonstrate how to use the Rockler inlay system and the different inlays you can do.

 


Maplewood Woodworking Classes and Woodworking Workshops

Turning Handles for our Grilling Tools with Charlie Mossey

Date: July 23, 2016

Time: 1pm-5pm

Overview: Students will learn how to turn different styles of handles for our grilling tool set. One wood blank will be supplied with the class fee. Grilling tools will need to be purchased. Students need to bring in their own eye protection

Skill Level:  Beginner/Intermediate

Class Fee:  $60 plus the cost of the grilling set



 

Turning Bowls with Craig Lossing

Date:  July 30, 2016

Time:  1pm - 5pm

Overview:  Learn to turn a bowl using the lathe. The class will focus on  techniques and tools used in turning a simple bowl. All materials are included. Students need to bring their own safety glasses.

Skill Level:  Beginner/Intermediate

Class Fee:  $60



 

Sign Making with Ode

Date:  August 13, 2016

Time:  1pm - 5pm

Overview:  Ode will go over different ways to make signs for outdoors using Red Grandis wood which will be supplied. Students need to bring in their own eye protection.

Make a Bird Feeder with Ode

Date:  August 27, 2016

Time:  1pm - 5pm

Overview:  This class will show you different ways to make bird feeders using red grandis wood. Students should supply their own eye protection
