Scroll Saw 101 - with Matt Gatchell

Overview: This class is designed for those who have not do any scroll sawing in a long time and want to brush-up. During this class there will be a discussion of the various materials and the types of blades that can be used with the scroll saw as well as other tools frequently used to complete projects. You will learn how to prepare a project for cutting and suggestions for sanding and finishing a project. You will then get familiar with the scroll saw by practicing various cuts and end the class by making “Morrie the Moose”.

Also, we will discuss different tools that can be used in conjunction with the scroll saw to broaden what you can do. You will then practice what has been discussed by making a patriotic candle ring.
