I owned a 2HP Dust Gorilla. That said, fit and finish is pretty good on this unit. Instructions on this new unit, 11/12, were simple, but good enough to get the job done. Sheet metal used is not as thick as Oneida, but the unit is sturdy. The issue is, Laguna website says the unit produces 1450CFM. Other sites rate it at 1600CFM. Which is it? Even Laguna isn't sure...not exactly a confidence builder. If not for this, I'd rate this DC at a 4.

I find the Jet dust collection work great, no problems. But the kicker is that you cannot find the plastic collection bags. What a bummer!

Very happy with my CT Midi. It pulls dust effectively from every tool I have hooked to it, and it's quiet. The tool activation is great. It's so nice not to have to turn on the vacuum, use the tool, turn off the vacuum every time. The anti-static hose works as advertised. Using the variable suction power is useful when sanding so as not to pull the sander too hard against the surface. My only regret is not getting the CT22 or 33 instead. Think hard about it before you buy. Also, it's important to note you can only get an MFT/3 in the combo deal (10% off vac or table when you buy with a tool), so keep that in mind as well. I only have one complaint with the dust bag's.The original's had loop's around the top which made it much easier to install onto the dust collector.The replacement's do not have the loop's.I had to folddown
the top of the bag to form a loop approx. 1 1/2 inch to hold the reatainer band in order to install the bag. Reason,bag is a little larger than dust collector. After making the loop and installing,the bag worked just like the original. As always,Rockler shipping was great,as was the price. If anyone else has this problem,just fold the top down,use several pieces of tape ON THE OUTSIDE to hold the loop I used double sided carpet tape,install the band in the loop and then on the collector. So much easier when you only have 2 hands.

Great filtration. For connection between the bag and collector make sure to use a hose clamp! Hard to empty-all the dust you managed not to kick up is set off while trying to empty this bag.
