After my initial use of Gorilla glue, I thought it was the best stuff on earth. 10 or so years ago I had to fix the daggerboard on a Sunfish sailboat, which spends a lot of time submerged in both fresh and salt water. It seemed to work great. Since it foams, the unclampable splinters were held much better than a PVA glue would. Sure, it's messy as sin and the stains on your hands last for days, but it worked. The trouble is that the glue does not last. I stated using it for all my wood glue needs. That was a big mistake. Just about everything I glued with it has since fallen apart including the daggerboard. If you need a glue to temporarily hold together something that cannot be clamped, this could sure save the day.
