Review 1 of 29:
I actually borrowed this tool from a friend of mine. We used it to drill countless pocket holes in pressure treated lumber that we used for the top and bottom support rails for his decking spindles. I borrowed it from my friend only to find the very tip of the drill bit was broken. It still worked but it required a lot of pressure on the drill. I called their customer service line and inquired about just purchasing the bit itself since there was nothing wrong with the blue collar. The gentleman I spoke with just asked for my shipping information and said he’d send me one in the mail. He never asked me to pay for it even though I was prepared to do so. It actually arrived about 3 days later and now with the new bit it will drill through wood like hot butter. It’s...

5 stars for the first 3 uses of the product. Minus 4 stars for poor design. The housing is made of plastic. So, after a couple of uses, the spring gets hot, transmits the heat through the washer into the plastic housing, which melts. LOL, yes it melts. And when it melts, it increases the depth of the cup, compromising the hinge's weight carrying capacity. Impractical. Poor design.

Poorly made, with loose pivot connections which allow the angle between the arms to change when any force is applied. The adjustment wingnut is difficult to keep tight. Bottom line: two thumbs down.

I'm a one man cabinet shop and I've used this jig for more than a few years now and I actually like it. You can pay a lot more money for similar devises, but for the money this jig works pretty well.

Actually, I only bought another pattern bit and more blank inserts. I have used the Jig-It longer than I can remember. It is a splendid device to mortise for butt hinges...and other applications using the inserts. I wouldn't give it up after relying on it all these years.

Review 1 of 12:
I was anxious to use this product, and waited a good three weeks while I built my cabinets and doors. When the day came to use the jig system, I painstakingly measured and tested the depth setting to ensure my hinge fit as expected, while not going too deep. What I did not expect was the bottom washer, which after three holes, would dig into the plastic housing about an 1/8" deep. Needless to say, with my roman ogee profiled doors there is a hole appearing on the side of the door. That in itself is bad enough, however had the housing been constructed of a more durable plastic or maybe a wider washer, I probably wouldn't have this issue. I have since modified the system, and appears to work as I would have expected. Not sure why the folks never encountered this problem before. For the price of the...

Review 1 of 22:
Sent to Al for review first -->I purchased this jig based on the description that indicated up to 4 1/2" setback. I am installing 3 1/2" drawer pulls on 14 fairly large drawers, the fronts of which are slightly more than 8" tall. I thought that the stated setback would allow me to use the jig. However, the maximum setback I can get using the 3 1/2" holes is 3 3/8". In fact, the maximum setback possible with the jig I have is 3 7/8" and that is for the 4" and 96mm widths. Unless there is something I don't understand about the setup and use of this jig, it is really only marginally useful. Since I want my pulls centered top-to-bottom on the front, the maximum height possible for my drawer fronts is 6 3/4". That's a full 1 1/2" less that what I need. I would suggest, in...

Review 1 of 12:
As a cabinetmaker I don't think I have come across a worse jig. If you can read a tape measure and use a level you can put on slides faster and more accurate than this ever could. I would have returned it if it hadn't cracked when I tossed it aside in my shop.
