Great jointer, good value for the money, solidly built and accurate. I have a lot of JET tools and if you take the trouble to set them up properly in the first place and service regularly they will provide many years of reliable use. Only problem i have ever had with mine is that the cooling fan blade loosened on the motor shaft within the motor housing, I applied a drop of loctite to the grub screw and it has been fine ever since and it gets a lot daily of use

Got to admit.. best 30 bucks I ever spent. I always dreaded changing my jointers knives. straight edge in hand, cup of coffee and nothing else to do for about an hour. This tool makes it so simple. A little care is still needed to find top-dead-center but once that's done... you're off to the races. I even removed the knife jack studs because they just aren't needed. Blade is pulled up touch the tool which is dead flat with the outbound table. What a joy. Test cut yielded perfect results. I'll be changing my jointer knives a little more often now and what a difference sharp knives make!!!!

Didn't use this on a table saw but mounted it in an angled slot in a 2x4 and put it behind my lathe with a 4" hose to my dust collector. So far it works great.

This unit is a wonderful piece of kit. Well built and quite heavy. I check tables and fence for square before every use and have had no need to make any adjustments in almost a year. The helical head is well worth the extra money. It gives smooth clean cuts, even in figured woods like curly and quilted maple. The best part is the end of setting knives.

I love the product. Not much more could be asked for. The manual does not tell one much and needs to be rewritten. I had problems adjusting the infeed table so I went to the manual and no help. I called Jet and talked to a technician--no help (why cannot Jet take a day and go over their products for potential problems, so they will know what they are talking about?). I have a friend who owns one and called him, he came over and we fixed the problem. I probably could have fixed the problem myself but I did not want to break the machine. What a bargain.

I have been wanting/needing a unit like this for several years now and finally picked up my 10" planer/jointer combo unit yesterday. I have yet to use it however! After assembling everything, I found that the infeed table is out-of-square (left to right) across the cutter head. The table slopes down to the left end of the cutter head, taking a shallower cut near the fence. The maunal has a troubleshooting section but there is no information about table alignment anywhere. If I can figure out how to correct this alignment issue, I'm sure I'll get many years of reliable service for my new toy!

After sharpening 2 sets of Delta 12 1/2 blades found as much as .007 difference from end too end, use 3/8" plate glass for the sand paper. Double checked everything such as sure planer blade was bottomed out in slot. Good idea but needs perfecting.
