Review 1 of 4:
I expected a really great product from Starrett... but what I got was probably a good level with sloppy craftsmanship at an OK price. The finish has some smears and the level vials have dirt in them. The level appears to show level... which is what is essential... but this is not the heirloom I will pass on to future generations.

Don't buy the cheap combo "squares" from the big-box stores. They are seldom square. Drop the extra bucks and get this quality, accurate tool that will last your lifetime.

Review 1 of 1:
I just finished a job with this product, and am very pleased with the results. Miters are tight and accurate, especially on crown moulding where the longer cuts show all errors. This gauge has greatly improved the quality of my work. 99% of all houses are not square. This gauge solves the problem and is simple to use.

Mine still looks and works like it did the day I bought it. I mostly use mine for trim work it is a MUST have for stain grade mouldings. Now with that being said you can purchase a simple angle finder for $10 but it does not have numbers so you have to throw it back and forth to your cut man instead of just calling off numbers.

Good choice for combination square. Small dab of silicone helps keep scribe in place & level is bright in low light. Keep one in mobile tool box & one in shop.

Review 1 of 4:
I think this is a quality tool that has been useful and accurate. While the single cut scale is in 2 degree graduations, the miter red scale is in 1 degree graduations. Tool feels solid, and has smooth action. For super precision work, you may want to use a digital angle finder that has a resolution of a tenth of a degree, but for molding this works great.

Review 1 of 3:
I tried using the less expensive rulers, but they just didn't work well for me in my woodworking. This ruler is sturdy, accurate and fits in my apron pocket. Well worth the extra money for it's convenience and precision on all scales, especially the 32nds on the short end of the ruler. Perfect for setting router bits.
