Love the table but there is not any hardware available to fit the slots for a fence. The bottom of the table has a 1/2 inch cut for the bolt head but when you use that type of head to fit in the slot the shaft is bigger than the slot it needs to go through to hold down your fence. Each time I tighten my fence I have to hold the bottom part of the screw that is on the under side of the table with a wrench to keep it from slipping.

I bought this kit last summer, and the kit works EXACTLY as advertised. Just a word of warning - read the directions through fully BEFORE starting this project and make sure you're following every step in order. If you do you will have a murphy bed and not a "Murphy's law" project you can be proud of.

I got this kit for Christmas (best wife ever). I have owned an earlier version (Model K2000) for several years. This kit is impressive. The stock clamp in front took a little time to get used to, only because my old one is in back. It has two pistons, which should give it more holding power. If you are making a lot of pocket holes, the vacuum attachment is a must. My older one didn't have one, so I had to jury rig one each time with tape! The kit comes with the normal sized jig, which you use for most normal work, such as 3/4" stock. It also comes with a smaller diameter jig for 1/2" wood, which can easily be interchanged. As with any new piece of equiptment, there was a minimal amout of adjusting, tightening, etc. that needed to be done. All in all, I was very satisfied with the product as a whole. But,there were a couple of things that I was not completely happy about in regards to this product. I had to replace the washer on the belt tensioner lock handle due to the fact that it was so weak and thin that it bent under the pressure of tightening down the handle after changing speeds. I replaced it with a heavier washer and that issue was resolved. The other issue I found to be a problem was, as others have stated, the access to change speeds is very limited. That is why I could not give this product an excellent rating. But, it is a very good product, from what I can see thus far.

I had been wanting a router table for some time and finally had an actual need. I'm building an entertainment center in my living room and wanted to do some detail work on the front edge of the shelves as well as some of the other trim. This table worked like a champ! The table surface is smooth and the whole setup is just rock solid. The insert plate fit my Dewalt 618 router perfectly. I had a little trouble getting the plate leveled on all four sides but I eventually got it so the boards slide across smooth like butter. I'm still pretty new to the woodworking game but I can see this table getting some serious usage over the years. Definitely worth the money! Fantastic Porter & Cable 3 1/4 HP Router! I recycled an old De Walt Radial Arm Saw Stand to accommodate my new router and Rockler Table Top. Now I need a Rockler, & Porter & Cable emblem to attach to the front with the De Walt Sign!

1. This unit is heavy. I was able to assemble it completely on my own but a second hand would have been nice. I have a custom made bench for it as you can see in the pictures. The bed weighs over 60 lbs itself and was quite the challenge to get it up the without using the table itself as a lifting point, but as you can see it can be done. The gantry weighs about 35 lbs but it very awkward to move easily. I was worried about damaging it and the mounts so my solution was to lay down a thick piece of cardboard on the table.
