Picked up several sheets of 3/4". Didn't think I needed to look overly close. Came time to use and wow! the warp and bend made the wood unusable. I ate my grief, cut it into small pieces. I live three hundred miles from the store I purchased it from. I know I should have screamed anyway.

Finally bought the putty solvent. Should have done it years ago!. Did the job on almost solid putty and it is now usable. Made the putty almost equal to new.

Very nice dowels. The shipping time was very speedy, I just ordered the basic UPS ground. It only took around 5 days. I would say around 3-4 of them are warped to where i need to soak them and make them straight, the rest were good. I am very picky though, I am trying to make percussion mallets and the dowels need to be perfectly straight. The warping could have been due to shipping though. Overall it was very good, and next time I need anything I will definitely be shopping at rockler if they have what I need.

My husband makes things but I purchase his supplies. He loves these plugs because he can countersink his screws and make things look like solid wood. He recently used these on the tops of my roll-top DVD cabinet and it really looks nice. He actually uses them a lot. He feels he couldn't do without them.
