Veneer was used for a box to store a watch collection. The inside of the box was lined to give a more pleasing look.

I found this harder to use than some of the other reviews would suggest. I used alcohol as the solvent and wiped it on birds eye maple with a cloth. I tried it on a test piece first and the botching was very bad. I then tried mixing with blond shellac and found that to work a bit better, but it was still hard to get a good uniform cover. I don't think these problems are unique to Trans Tint but I don't see this brand as being any easier to use than other stains I have tried. I have since read that it may be better to spray on and to use water as the solvent. I don't think I will bother to try it again.

First time I've used this product and am very pleased. I like that it is waterbased and am amazed at how easy it is to use. I can't testify to durability, but I think it will be just fine. The Espresso color was a perfect match. However, use caution sanding in between finish coats, it's easy to remove color on wood edges and corners. Still, it's a great product.

Review 1 of 7:
I have successfully used the "neutral" Black Bison wax on cabinets, doors, and trim. It goes on smoothly, and working it to keep it thin it dries in 1/2 hour or so. I like to use a Liberon furniture brush first then a finishing cloth. It gives a satin shine with NO change to the wood finish color, a nice advantage over trying to match a wax to a wood finish. But the odor is pretty strong even after brushing and buffing with a cloth. Provide ample ventilation, then enjoy the shine.

2 pieces of 1-3/4 x 3/4 inch mahogany. Pieces are OK, not great ... will need to plane down to make straight/flat. Grain in one piece is good, other, not so good. Ordering wood is a bit of a crapshoot.
