Overview

This innovative system allows cabinet doors to swing open a full 110° with nothing but a slight inward "push" on the door itself. Two main components, the deluxe self-opening hinges and a magnetic release device, are state-of-the-art. The nickel-plated, self-lubricating steel hinges feature three-way cam-action adjustability for simple installation and precise door alignment. They install the same as any typical European concealed cup hinge, and are available to accommodate several levels of overlay for face frame cabinets (see options below). Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
  • Recommended for face frame cabinet applications; also available for frameless applications.
  • Featuring self-open functionality
  • 110° Opening
  • Three Way Adjustment
  • Nickel Finish

Patrick R from Charleston, SC Posted April 1, 2010
I purchased these hinges instead of Blum hinges I've used in the past due to the push catch magnetic latch feature. I assumed they would be comparable in quality. I could have purchased a separate catch for each door, and in retrospect I would've. With inset doors I attached the hinge stems just like I had before with Blum hinges and thought nothing of it. As soon as I began mounting the doors however, I soon realized the hinge stems were easy to slip from the screw mounts. If this had been only one door, maybe even two, I'd chalk it up to amateur user error and blame myself. But it was almost half of the stems I had issues with. Furthermore, once I had those somewhat secured I mounted the doors and magnet catches. Again, another problem. The hinge tension is stronger than the magnetic catch in some instances, and I have to repeatedly close the door for the mechanism to engage properly. Otherwise the door(s) come open too easily, without pushing the door. I may be a novice and and amateur, but this is my third project of this type and haven't encountered these issues before.

These are expensive hinges and they don't work. The main "feature" is the push-push action. Unfortunately, the spring tension in the hinge is not adjustable and way too strong for a normal cabinet door. On a 3/4" solid ply door 16x24", they literally fling the door out to where it hits the stop at full open and still has enough energy to bounce back half closed. Very unprofessional. The hinges are otherwise rather ordinary stamped pieces with no screw covers. Of the two packs I bought, one was missing the instructions/template and the other was short 2 screws.
