The clamps are great. Haven't used the bench blocks yet, but they seem to be well made.

I have received The Sure-Foot Bench Block Clamp Kit Item #31524 as ordered, but have found it to be somewhat unsuitable for my application. The specific problem is that when used in conjunction with the squaring blocks, the lower "tier" clamps do not pull up square with the assembly being clamped. There is too much "slop" in the guide ring follower that aligns the clamp with the pipe. This allows as much as 3 or 4 degrees of deflection on each end. This tends to bow the workpiece and/or produce misaligned joints.Unfortunately, I had hoped that this would be a lower cost option to cabinetmaker's clamps, but for me it just doesn't quite get it. Too bad, it really employs some great ideas. If only the designer had thought to make the follower longer to eliminate the tip, it would be a great improvement over previous pipe clamps designs.
