Overview
New and improved design features 2-1/4" high jaws - a half-inch higher than standard pipe clamps! Ideal for use with our exclusive Bench Block® Pipe Clamp Stabilizers (#35359, sold separately) to provide a full 1" engagement with the workpiece on the lower clamp. Add Sure-Foot Plus® Clamp Pads (#39897, sold separately) for added protection for your stock.
Features:
- Extra-wide 2-1/2" foot provides exceptional stability and prevents tip-over during setup. It won't rock on uneven bench surfaces
- Higher base raises the pipe 1-1/2" above table to allow for greater handle clearance, so you won't have to position clamp handle off the edge of a bench
- Clamping face includes holes for mounting pads, cauls, jigs and specialty fixtures
- Built-in clamp hook eliminates need to "clamp the clamp" when hanging on wall
- Four-clutch-plate design provides secure, no-slip lock for the tail stock on standard 3/4" black pipe
Important Notes
- Pipe not included.

Does the end of the pipe need to be threaded?
Peter L
on Mar 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the end of the pipe needs to be threaded, and the clamp fixture screws onto the pipe. You can buy different lengths of pre-threaded pipe at most hardware stores.

threaded at both ends and cut it at 3' - then I have 2 pieces, one at 3' and one at 7' - or 4' and 6'

Again, I'm not sure what you are asking. If you are asking if the rubber clamp pads are included, again the answer is no. Instead, I use sticky back cork, which they also sell in the store. Cut a little oversized and trim to fit. The Pipe Clamp Stabilizers are also a good addition.

What's the maximum clamping of this pipe clamps?
A shopper
on Apr 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure if you are speaking of length or force. The length is essentially unlimited - it simply depends on the length of the pipe that you buy to accompany the clamp (I bought mine - steel gas pipe - at Home Depot). If you mean force, it is probably several hundred pounds, at least. The clamp is essentially a vise.

I get two of several sizes. Such as 24 inch, 48 inch and 72 inch. Don't forget that pipe with threads on both ends have the advantage of connecting a 72 in pipe with a 12 inch pipe using a pipe coupling. I have used two 72 inch pipes together to make 12 ft pulling boards together tight.

Max length depends on pipe you use. The package only contains the ends of the clamps. You can go to any big box home store and have them cut down a large section of 3/4 inch pipe and thread the ends to whatever length you need.

Thanks for the response. Are any clamps steel? I'm trying to make a fire pit cooking rack with the rack being able to adjust higher or lower. I.m going to pound a 5' x 3/4" pipe 30" into the ground with one end of a pipe clamp with some angle iron welded to that and a oven rack welded to the angle iron.

Pipe Clamps work great
My first set of pipe clamps since I took shop class in school. They are perfect and love working with them.

Nice Clamps
Hard to beat a nice pipe clamp. Bigger footrprint and self-hanging features make it standout from the rest

Great pipe clamps
I generally use parallel jaw clamps and love them. However, I bought these pipe clamps years ago for a rather large project. They work great and are a bargain compared to a 6’ long parallel clamp. Very heavy duty.

Get a grip!
Great clamps! I try to buy more each time they go on sale. They meet my needs perfectly as I can select any length of black pipe to clamp my projects together! And, the work stays off the bench with the added height the clamps provide.

Your clamp does exactly what I wanted. I use it for clamping cabinet side walls, drawers, etc. It's also great for holding stock off the bench for routing purposes. Thanks again.

Retail Therapy
Things fall apart; the centre will not hold. But maybe Yeats just needed a clamp. Life can be difficult but there are very few problems that cannot be contained with the right clamp. For myself, when I'm feeling blue, I like to buy blue things, and so Rockler provides the pretty toys that perk me up and help me forget what I just read in the newspaper or saw at the corner. Now these pipe clamps provided pleasure both in the purchase and also when put to use. Mine hold tight and open up all kinds of possibilities for clamping in my home shop. They are well designed and useful. That's so nice in a world where the best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Go 2 clamps
I bought these to make cabinet doors. I put them on 2 ft pipe and have used in constructing a deck. Surprisingly a great way to straighten a header or right a twisted joists. I ordered 2 more as they are my go 2 clamp on the work site and in the shop.

Did some research and these were the best!
I looked at a lot of pipe clamps and for the money these were by far the best! I especially like the extended feet so that you can use the crank with them on the table, plenty of clearance without smashing your knuckles! Plan to get a few more soon!

GREAT CLAMPS
Use them about three days after receiving them on a cabinet. They were easy to work with and heavy construction.
Used the to glue side panels for my tool cabinet and the board did not bow but remained straight.
I plan to purchase some more of them.
I highly recommend them.

Excellent product with the ability to have a clamp however long I want. I've even purchased pipe that I've cut so I can have a choice of lengths of clamps with the same clamp, just longer or shorter pipe.

Great 3/4 inch Pipe Clamp
I bought 10 of these so I can start building kitchen cabinets. The Sure Foot Plus feature provides enough clearance to keep you from busting up your knuckles. It also helps stabilize the work pieces for large glue ups and does this very well. I do plan to purchase this product again in the future.

Best pipe clamps
I was looking at either buying Bessey 3/4" pipe clamps or Rockler ones. Bought both and ended up returning the Bessey pipe clamps because the Rockler ones had a better fit and finish. They are more expensive than the Bessey pipe clamps but when Rockler puts their pipe clamps on sale you can't go wrong. They have the tallest jaws of available pipe clamps and they also provide a good height front the base to the handle. Skip the plastic pads Rockler sells though. They aren't great and the clamping head has two holes in it, so you can attach an auxiliary face.
