Echo previous comments about the poor fit. I had to file each one to get them to go together and come apart. It also would have been nice to have the screw size instructions included rather than having to come back and look them up online. Otherwise they are solid.

Used this on an oak convertible Baby Crib that I built. This is a heavy bed, but the brackets worked great. One point, however, and I think mentioned by others, is that a couple of the keyholes had burrs that made it difficult for the keys to slide down. I simply filed the burr down a little and the fit was perfect. If the key won't slide down to the bottom of the keyhole, then this will be needed, but it is not difficult.

Two of the four brackets needed work to fit. Should have fit smoothly and cleanly out of the package.

Reading all reviews very helpful. The 'B' female keyholes were very tight. That is probably the cause of the failures noted in the reviews. Dremel tool fixed that quickly. The chamfers were not wide enough on the male parts, for the recommended screws. Heads protruded just enough to make assembly very, very tight. A minute with a chamfer bit took care of this. Bed seems good and solid, we'll see if it holds up to a 4 year old boy !!

Built a solid wood queen size bed and fell in love with these brackets when I got them. Seemed like a great way to be able to take apart the bed easily when needed. Trouble was the very first time I needed to disassemble the bed 3 of the "male nubs" that hook into the female part broke off! 2 were off one bracket alone and only had the weight of a mattress and one person. Going to try them again hoping it was a bad batch but also ordering another type just in case. Hope they work!!
