Is the,wood kiln dried?
Henry

BEST ANSWER: As far as I know, the wood is kiln-dried. I turned two bats out of it and they seem to be stable.

Yes to best of my knowledge. I do not turn them but rather use them to make end grain cutting boards. I use maple, walnut and cherry for the cutting board.

I need these as 3 inch square legs for a vanity, are they in good shape to just sand and paint?
Or are they pretty rough?
Or are they pretty rough?

BEST ANSWER: They need a minimal amount of work to be perfect. If you only have a good hand square & decent carpenters big square, with a sander well used, you should be able to use these. These are heavy duty with beautiful grain & will finish nicely.

"Note: Nominal size 3'' x 3'' Somewhat irregular (not totally square)" the blanks i got were not square on any leg and each one is varying thicknesses, these are strictly turning blanks.

Excellant product, more than met my expectations.
Very nice product. I needed a 3" × 2.75" piece 72" long for my bench dogs on a new workbench I was building. The 4 pieces that I received were well packed, arrived on time, and were everything they said & more. Very slightly oversize, I was able to be really fussy with my work & cut them down to the size I exactly wanted on the saw & jointer. Two end to end worked for the 72" I needed. I will certainly buy again.

Walnut table legs
Beautiful walnut legs that I used for a table. The wood is fine quality with excellent grain. My only suggestion concerns finish planning all the way around. Some surfaces were only partially smooth planned.
I also bought the african mahogany legs which were also very well made. Same issue with the surface planning.

Quality problem
Not true measurements, tree bark on side of one blank. Good value for my use as tapered table legs. I worked around the problem areas.
