Extruded Solid Brass Hinges are machined to exact specifications, giving you a high-quality hinge that provides strength and performance. The pin hole and knuckle interfaces are drilled and milled, enabling firm yet smooth leaf movement and minimal wear between knuckles. Leaf thickness is a generous 1/16" thick.

Formed Solid Brass Hinges are made using stamped materials, and the knuckles are formed after the stamping process. They are generally less expensive than extruded hinges, and the leaf thickness is less than half that of an extruded hinge. One pair per pack, screws included.

I used the Vertex Solid Extruded...

Laney S from Ocala, FL Posted November 12, 2012
I used the Vertex Solid Extruded 90 degree stop hinges in a recent project. I found them to be very well made, the hinges hold the box lid open at 90 degrees and there is no wavering, it stays up, even with the large walnut lid I made for my box there was no issues at all. In my case, the satin nickel finish added a very elegant touch to my project which I was pleased with. I had no issues with the installation, I laid out the hinge placement, cut the hinge mortises and installed the hinges with ease and was satisfied with the final outcome as well as the overall appearance and performance of the hinges. Had there been an issue, I would be the first one to speak up. The hinges met my expectations and then some. I would recommend this project to anyone.

I'm glad I only bought 1 pair of these. They look very nice but the dimensions are inconsistent which makes it necessary to custom fit each hinge. The inconsistency is not apparent from a casual inspection.
