Have used Waterlox for at least 20 years, always good for finish, adding areas, fixing spots. Recommend it to anyone!

After 30 years of trying this finish and that, I tried Waterlox a few years ago, and have used it on dozens of projects. It has become my go-to finish for nearly everything. Yes, it's expensive. But after I've invested my time and money in a project, the finish is not the place I want to skimp. It penetrates the wood and makes the grain pop much like several coats of pure tung oil. It builds a good, hard varnish film that's still soft enough to move with the wood. If you'll take the time to wipe on several coats instead of brushing, it's nearly goof-proof. Sanding between coats is not necessary. I think it's wood's best friend.

The best finish I have ever...

The best finish I have ever used. Penetrates the wood for deep protection and really brings out the grain in a beautiful cherry trestle table that I have made. Builds to a very durable, water resistant finish that is easily repairable, and easy to apply. It does seem to have a strong odor, so you may want to wear a mask. Must be decanted into smaller portions if you don't use all of it
