Mortus and tenon
Well engineered product. A real time saver over a mouser.

Good, just be careful with measurments
This worked just as it should. See my review of the master system. Well worth the price. I would recommend.

What a great guide for hole drilling.
What a great tool. Nobody in shop knew if it would do mitered joints, but looking it over I decided it would
Made four fancy gates with joints mitered with beadlock 1/2" diagonal tenons. worked perfectly.
The firm side of the jig is best for "Face" side of project, (to keep all face sides flush), so though instructions indicate in photos to place jig in with white indicator marks toward knob, I found that putting them toward firms side worked perfectly.
My next experiment is to try to mortise an old mortise style door knob with this as boring guide. Will need longer bit for the 3 1/4" deep lock mortise. I do wish that since I HAD to buy the 1/2" kit, all three kits could be extra, and the jig price commensurately reduced.
2 1/2" thick, 3 1/2" wide.
2 1/2" thick, 3 1/2" wide.

works great
I had purchased the full kit over a year ago and had the 1/4 and 3/8 guides and bits. Used them several times with great results. This system is so much easier and more accurate in my estimation than traditional mortise and tenons. And, it doesn't require the tenon piece to be as long. Using less hardwood that is very expensive is another plus.

drill bit should be stepped for a 3/8 chuck
I don't have a 1/2 chuck on any of my drills, so I could not use the bit. Odd that Rockler did not provided a drill bit everyone could use.

I Would Like It Better If...
I would like the 1/2" Beadlock Pro Accessory Kit better if Rockler would sell me the router bit to make the 1/2" Beadlock tenon stock myself. Instead of running to the store when ever I run out of tenon material.

BeadLocker Pro Accuracy
The system overall appears to be a great fit for connecting my breadboard ends to the massive dining room table I am building. After purchasing and trying to use, the system does not create straight holes nor is it repeatable. It was a good thing I read the prior reviews and left my ends larger than I needed because during assembly , I noticed they were not exactly where I had planned them to be.

Why did you choose this?
Rockler Store
I am starting a few projects which require a mortise and tenon, but the traditional options are far more expensive and least versatile.

To add to the Beadlock® Pro Joinery Kit Also because I want to see if we can use this kit to drill holes that will allow us to use Festool's Domino connection system instead of buying the $1400 Festool tool.

George M on Aug 12, 2015
3/8 inch has worked wonderfully for cabinet work. Now building a door and need thicker loose tenons

I chose this item because my "New and Improved" local store no longer carries accessory items for the beadlock system. The new smaller store no longer has room for as many items, but an endcap display had what appeared to be a 5 year supply of Rockler pocket hole clamps. Rockler is my wood working store of choice because they had previously carried accessory items for various tools and accessories.
Mickey B on Jul 13, 2015
I already had the kit but without the 1/2 inch accessory. I now need the 1/2 inch accessory to join larger stock.

Can the 1/2" Beadlock® Pro Accessory Kit ($59.99 each) be used with the Rockler 3/8'' Beadlock® Basic Starter Kit ($29.99
each), Or I'm I stuck buying the Rockler Beadlock® Pro Joinery Kit ($149.99 each) to make 1/2" mortises?
I'm joining some 2x6 cedar for deck railing caps and making mitered joints, but I don't want to blow my deck project budget any more than I already have. Any and all comments and suggestions would be appreciated at this point.

BEST ANSWER: I bought the Rockler 3/8" Beadlock Basic Starter Kit Item # 34802 ($29.99 each) and the Beadlock 1/2" Accessory Kit Item # 34985 ($27.99 each). They worked great together and the accessory kit pieces store in the starter kit's box.
