Fit My Needs
I had the standard pegs supporting my wooden shelves for many years. Now that we have grandchildren visiting, my wife asked about some kind of locking support for the shelves. I looked at local stores, but nothing was available. I then went to my Rockler catalog and found them. They came quickly and work great. For them to work properly, you must have the length of the shelf within the limits of the locking clip. I recommend them.

shelf supports
What can I say about a shelf support. It took me years to find the right size, as I wasn't sure what they were called. Meantime I couldn't use a couple shelves because the ones I had broke and I didn't have spares. Thank you.

These are great for stabling the shelf, especially where they get heavy use.

These are the same type of locking shelf supports that came with my cabinets years ago. I cracked some the original shelf supports and ROCKLER had them in stock and shipped them promptly. This is excellent customer service.

I currently have pins holding the shelves and wanted to make them more secure. The locking supports will do that.

perfect for holding those cabinet shelves

I'm using these pins because I have a kitchen project with the upper cabinets will not be installed in a corner. Instead the clients wants corner shelves between the two outer overhead cabinets. Therefore, I'm trying these shelf pins to see if the top of the pin will stabilize a hexagon shaped shelf with only four points of contact.

how to remove shelve from locking supports?
A shopper on Apr 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You press the tab near the top of the support and the shelf can lift up. If there are many locking supports, then you need to press several until the shelf starts to lift. Continue this until the entire shelf can be removed.
I need 5ml shelf pins is this the same as 1/4in?
Angela A on Feb 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I assume you mean 5 mm pins and they, the 5mm pins, are 3/64 of an inch bigger than a 1/4 " pins. So they are not the same and are not interchangeable. You can buy the correct drill bits form Rockler or if the holes are already there you can buy the correct pins for the existing holes.
What is the length of the pin on the back?
VIKTORIA V on Jun 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 3/8"
