3 Piece Waterstone Sharpening Set

Check out our combination grit sharpening stones and keep your tools in peak condition! The 3-Piece Waterstone Set is a sure savings over buying the individual stones.

Features:

  • The set includes one 800/4000 combination waterstone, one 6000 single grit waterstone and one Nagura stone
  • The 800/4000 combination waterstone is great for removing smaller nicks and for finish sharpening of woodworking chisels and other tools

Awesome Buy!!!! I'll get another kit!
Well, I use these stones often, about twice a week.
They sharpen very well and are easy to keep clean and store.
For the price and the quality, this was an absolute excellent purchase!

I bought this set and the 250/1000 stone to use on my carving knives and chisels. They do an excellent job making them super sharp and with a mirror finish when done. With a short time on the strop they are sharper than the pro-honed new knives. They are money well spent.

Very excited. Only had time to sharpen a very low end planer but it now works better than when i bought it. Really excited about my next day off - I'm going to sharpen everything in the shop!

Very impressive. Waterstones are exactly what they are hyped to be. This set is, at a minimum, enough to get one started into the world of waterstones. Once inside the world, you will forever be locked. A plane edge that you can use as your shaving mirror OR the razor has that effect on folks. An excellent product that I don't hesitate to recommend!

Edge sharpening
These expensive stones should work very well if adequate direction were included. There seems to be many different ways to create an edge but no information is provided from the manufactureror for a razor finish result.

Stones are ok. Didn't pay attention to the size and assumed they were similar in dimensions to the Norton stones. Not wide enough to comfortably sharpen hand plane blades. Would be better if larger, but then they would cost more.

This was a great introduction into sharpening my blades. I found this set to be easily complemented by buying other individual stones to build my collection. This seems like a great place to start.

How long do these stones last? Weekend hobbiest so sharpen once a week at most - chisel set and hopefully a plane or 2 in the near future.
Chris N on May 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I imagine they'll last a few years. I've owned these for almost two years, and while I don't sharpen every week, they don't seem to have gotten noticeably thinner since I first started using them.
My son is requesting "Japanese waterstones mid to fine finish" as a Christmas gift. I know nothing about these. Does this set fit the bill for his request?
Debbi R on Dec 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: "Mid to fine finish" is a bit vague, but they definitely fit the bill.

This was my starter set. It works great, and they'll last for years.
