Nice size for smaller jobs as well as the clamp fits into smaller areas larget jaws can't get into.
I'm very pleased with the performance of them.
As we all know there are never too many clamps in the shop. These clamps are perfect for small assembly & glue up jobs. It's nice to have smaller clamps instead of just large & bulky clamps. Sturdy and quick set ups.
I use these to secure portable bench tools. I have a router table, grinder and a Dewalt 735 planer that I have to move around my small shop. Given that nothing can stay in one place I have to use clamps instead. These were cheap yet hold very well. Highly recommended.
these are small clamps and are not very strong (unless you pin the heads to the bar, easy) but the size is perfect when you need to hold down that corner of laminate repair or when you need that edge clamped just in the right spot. I reach for these all the time.
These clamps do not screw all the way together. There is a gap of approx. 1.25". So, unless you are clamping something that is at least that thick they won't work. I don't know what I'm going to do with them, hopefully something will turn up so I can use them. Editor's note: These clamps are designed to be used with Mini Clamp-It Assembly Squares linked in the Related Products section of this offer.
I have a set of these that came with the 90-degree corner blocks and they have been very useful for light duty projects. However, I have had two of them fail when I apparently overtightened them. The only thing that keeps the bar in place is two center-punch dimples on each end. It doesn't take much stress to pull the bar right through the end piece. This is disappointing as I really liked the set otherwise. A little better method of construction and these would probably last a lifetime.
Used them a couple of times before it gave way. The junction between the stainless bar and the black metal pieces are only held together very weakly by deforming of the stainless pieces slightly. This means any pressure will pull them apart.
I had 2 of these clamps, and both clamps gave out after a couple uses. An easy fix at the manufacturer level would be to drill through the black metal pieces and stainless bar together, and insert a roll pin to prevent the stainless bar from pulling out. But as it stands, this product is unusable.
This is the only product I've ever purchased from Rockler where I've been totally disappointed. As another review noted, the method of attaching the components together is extremely weak. After just a few uses the jaws were so loose on the bar they could be moved with just hand pressure. It wasn't possible to tighten them enough to prevent the workpiece from moving. I modified them by drilling through and inserting steel pins and that solved the problem, but I shouldn't have had to do that.
