Woodworking Experience:
Worth every penny
I bought this to replace a Harbor Freight dust collector cloth bag because it was such a pain to empty it. There are three advantages this bag provides:
1) Bottom zipper to evacuate dust.
2) Much wider opening than the harbor freight bag, which quickly empties dust as well.
3) Seems to collect dust much better. Just a fraction of sawdust remained in my planer with this bag installed. It must be due to the 5 micron bag, which is much smaller than the harbor freight bag.

Woodworking Experience:
I'm using it to collect shavings from my Dewalt 13" planer.
it has it's own built in blower and the bag is enough without a vacuum in between the planer and the bag.
Innovation at it's best.

Will this bag fit a Delta AP300 dust collector?
Ronald P on Mar 4, 2017
Can this bag be washed?
David N on Mar 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: yes. I have washed it in the washing machine and then put in the dryer
What is the bag's diameter?
Bill W on Dec 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's about 14" diameter and 30" tall
what size is the throat of the bag? my delta has a 4" exit port.
Martin G on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: the diameter is slightly greater than 5".
I have the dust right on a mobile floor mount. Can I convert it to a wall mount?
Earl H on Dec 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Mine came with a wall mount and it has hung there for a number of years.
Are these bags reusable?
Richard B on Feb 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is "reusable" in the sense that it's Not a consumable or discardable... When it fills up or gets clogged with dust, you take it off (and somewhere else to empty it... not in your shop!) and then dump the contents, shake the bag out or vacuum the dust from the inner surface and put it back on the wall unit.

"Re-usable" doesn't sound like an applicable term... Hope that helps.
Several people have mentioned this has a zipper. I want to confirm if this bag does indeed have a zipper on it? the 30 micron bag that came with my dust right does not, and it's nearly impossible to empty.
Steve S on Feb 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I checked... It (mine) has a zipper on the bottom of the bag, in addition to the clear plastic panel on the side so you can see how much debris is in the bag.

I found it hard to dump the dust and turning chips out the bottom and since you're holding it from the top, if you don't close the top, dust and stuff will come out into your face as you shake it.

For those reasons, I realized that it's as effective or more to just hold it by the bottom and shake the contents out through the 'top opening.' Worked great for me.
where can I find the clamp?
Chad W on Nov 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not a clue, Chad... I bought some 5" band-clamps and tried that. If that doesn't work for you, sometimes, you can take two screw-type hose clamps and sort of 'put them in series,' one connected to another until they make up the right diameter for an application like this...

I could not find any source for the clamp that appears in the photo and sure wish one were available or some link to a source were provided.
How porous is this bag? Was thinking of adapting this for a DeWalt DW735 since its fan-assisted chip ejection.
NomarWoodworks on Aug 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use this bag extensively in my shop and have received excellent results with it. It supports a variety of shop tools and is occasionally used on a Rigid 4331 planer with no problems. It is a 5 micron bag, so any particles smaller than 5 microns will get through the bag. Note saw dust is 30 - 600 microns so it gets everything but the fine particles in my shop. Most problems occur at the tool, not at the dust collector bag, I've yet to find a tool that sends 100% of the dust and debris to the dust collector personally.
Good luck and be safe around the shop.
Can you buy a bag clamp for dust right wall mounted unit?. I lost mine.
Nathan G on Jan 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I thought I already answered this one...

No, I couldn't find a clamp that fit, so my solution was to take two smaller clamps and connect them end-to-end, sort of 'in series' and then tighten both.

Another solution I've heard of is to put a gap-filler in, like the kind of rubber strips used to stop drafts around windows, and use as large a clamp (or two) to hold that in place.

Good luck!
How do you empty the bag?
Randy M on Feb 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Bags have a zipper in bottom. It is much easier to remove from unit and shake out bottom preferable outside since it is messy. Just unzipping will not cause sawdust to flow.
I have a Dewalt 735 Planer and notice many other owners use the Rockler Replacement Dust Collector Bag. My question is in regards to the 5 Micron version and 30 Micron version. Is it better to just go ahead and spend a little more for the 5 Micron as I understand it filters out more of the dust?
Matthew G on Sep 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I did purchase the 5 micron, you are correct
I own a GMC portable saw dust collector. The bag as holes and i am trying to find a replacement bag. The opening that bag attaches over is 41/2 inch. do you have a replacement bag that would fit?? If so i would like to order one. thank you for your help N Brown
Nancy B on Aug 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would be surprised if it didn't fit a 4 1/2 opening, might even fit a 5". On my 4" fittings, I have to put about an inch fold in it before clamping.
I want to use this with my Dewalt 735 planer. I do not have the dust collector, but would like to run tubing directly from my planer to this collection bag using the power from the planer's blower. Would I need any adapters or clamps to make this work other than the obvious 4" tubing? Would there be enough ventilation from the bag alone or would I need to factor that in as well?
Scott on Jul 10, 2018
Has anyone double bagged this system i.e. put the 30 micron bag inside the 5 micron bag and connect them both to the discharge The Idea is to catch the larger particles inside the 30 micron bag and reduce the loading on the 5 micron bag or would this restrict to much air flow?
