Many so called 5mm shelf pins are closer to 6mm. this is closest pro shelf drilling bit to 6mm.

Is the depth adjustable?

BEST ANSWER: The depth is only adjustable depending on how far you push it into the slot. Will it go deeper than indicated to make the holes necessary for the pins to sit flat to the bottom of the shelf hole? No.
