7500-Lumen Linkable 4' LED Shop Light

Item #
92% of 100

This 7,500-Lumen 4' LED Shop Light is ultra-bright, long-lasting, and incredibly energy efficient. It makes an ideal lighting solution for shops, garages, laundry rooms and other work areas where task lighting is crucial. It's also an excellent upgrade for those expensive and fragile fluorescent tubes that flicker and fail all too quickly. Thanks to an LED life of 50,000 hours, the light can be left on for eight hours a day for over 17 years. No hum and no mercury for a safer, more environmentally-friendly lighting solution. Bright white light is very easy on the eyes, and comes to full-brightness the moment you turn it on, even in cold weather.

  • Linkable design lets you run several lights (up to to a total of 30,000 lumens) off of a single outlet
  • Includes two 12'' hanging chains, one 10' linking cord, and one link connector
  • Link connector can be used to connect two 10' link cords to space lights up to 20' apart (additional lights/link cords sold separately)
  • Easy on/off with the 7-1/2'' pull chain
  • Linkable with additional 7,500-Lumen lights (#56582, sold separately) or the 10,000-lumen version (#50867, sold separately)

nice bright light for a garage
easy to install and very bright. Just what I needed for my garage.
Recommend as a good buy. The only thing that I didn't like was the pull chain was too short. I had to add another piece of a chain in order to turn the light on. Easy fix when you have extra chains in your surplus box of odds and ends.

After years of eight 60 watt bulbs, I replaced them with 7 of these. I now can see dirt in corners I didn't know I had. What a difference!

Brite And Low Shadow
I had 2 4500 lumen lights above my table saw/work table area that is 6ft x 6ft ,I thought I would try these 7500 lumen lights instead. Man what a difference ,so much brighter and no shadows. I think I may re-do the rest of my wood shop with these lights- I love them !!!

Woodworking Experience:
lots of light
I bought one of these to try out and put it in my garage/wprkshop. It is an amazing difference compared to the fluorescent lights I had. My neighbor liked them so much he ended up getting six for his garage/workshop. He bought three and then another three. I ended up getting two more and that was enough for my space. I love lowering the electricity usage as well. I also like that they can be liked to each other and all work off of one switch.

Very bright, linking is a great feature
I used two of these lights to replace 3 T8 light fixtures, the level of brightness is amazing. The lights do take about a second to turn on so they're not quite instant.

These lights are light-weight and easy to install. I have 8 of them installed in my 1200 sq/ft shop. I left my old florescent lights in place and added the LED lights to them. there is now enough light detail anytime, day or night. Very pleased with the result

I have (2) of the 5000 lumen lights. They work great and are a little brighter than the 80W fluorescent lamps I've always had. Other fluorescent ballasts are getting weak, and since I now have bifocals, I wanted replacements bright enough to not have to use a desk lamp when hand jointing at the bench.

I picked this light because I already have 3 of them and they are solid, can be linked, and the brightness is good. One I bought from a big box store (the first LED shop light I bought) died a couple of weeks ago and I need light in that spot.
Steve H on Mar 9, 2019
I chose this light mainly for two reasons, its linkable and the lumens. Most lights I have looked at are from 4000 to 5500 lumens, which includes the light that this lamp is replacing. I am hoping this puts out at least as much light as a fluorescent shop light.

Purchased 8 for my shop, buying 4 more for another project. I am really impressed with the amount of light they put out, and love that I don’t have to rewire the whole room, I just put a couple of receps on a switch. Color temp is good for a work space.

Can this light be hard wired?
Margaret G on Nov 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I hardwired all mine. I used the linking cable, just cut to necessary length, strip similar to romex and make connections. I didn't use the three prong cord because if for whatever reason I need temporary lighting, I could unhook one and plug it in with that cord where ever I need the light.
How does the first fixture in a linked run connect to service? A plug to an outlet or is it hard wired?
Jeffear on Dec 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, I have several circuits set up with these lights. The first lamp can be plugged into either a switched / unswitched outlet (purchased at any hardware store and relatively inexpensive).
How many bulbs in the fixture?
Rob Y on Dec 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are no LED bulbs in these fixtures, instead they use the little square flat LED's and this fixture is bright.
Can these be hard wired to a light switch?
Melanie on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They come with a cord which has a plug so the easiest thing to do is to plug it into a ceiling outlet that is controlled by a wall switch.
can this light be linked to the 4000 lumen light?
Steve V on Dec 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Both lights have the same configuration for the cable that links them to additional lights, and the Rockler on-line catalog shows the same separately available accessory cable for each light. Although more are not linked because of how I light my shop, I believe these two models (4000 and 7500) can be successfully linked.
How many needed for 30’x40’ shop?
Hartwell M on Apr 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: (addendum to previous answer) - instructions indicate you can only link three (3) fixtures
Could anyone post a picture from the top of the unit, so I could see how the hooks attach?
Eric B on Apr 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Sorry - unable to paste pic - it’s a small screw hook (open screw eye) that the included chain slips onto
If one bulb burns will they all go off ?
RICHARD M on Aug 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: We are a 5000 sq ft community woodworking studio on Bainbridge Island WA. We have installed 19 of these lights with only one failure which Rockler replace right away because the entire unit failed within 60 days. We have never had an LED emitter fail to cause partial lighting. We have been using these lights as auxiliary task lights over our general lighting. They work great, our members love them, and the color rendition is good too.
Can these be hard wired to a light switch?
Melanie S on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am not an electrician, but I can see no reason why not. I will be hard wiring a few of the ones I bought into an already existing circuit. I will be removing the old fluorescent fixtures so I don’t ov else ad the circuit.
Can these be flush mounted?
JR B on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Since they come with hooks and chain to suspend them, flush mounting would require disassembly and screwing the case to the ceiling. I suppose you could box in the fixture but the lens is three sided to spread the light in a 180 degree pattern. All the cord connections for power and linking are on the ends. We are in a community wood shop with a high ceiling so we hung them 6' above the benches. We installed two banks of three in a 1000 sq ft room with ten benches. Our carving and Luther instructors love them. We used 7500 lumen as the 10,000 lumen were to bright.
Can this light be mounted directly to the sheetrock ceiling, flush mount?
Gary on Jun 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I can't answer your question directly because I mounted mine with the supplied chain. Mine are mounted to the exposed ceiling joists in my garage. I see no reason why you couldn't mount them to a Sheetrock ceiling if you are handy at modifying things. You would have to remove the plastic cover to screw through the top. My lights don't look like that is all that easy and doing that might affect your warranty. If you did this I would line your screws up with joists or use molly bolts. Steve
Are these lights dimmable?
Gene_ on Jul 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They cannot be dimmed, but I have found not reason to dim them. They are quite bright but there is no glare. I have three in a 12 x 12 wood shop and am very, very pleased.
Is the link feature "switched"? None of my outlets are on a switch and I would like to be able to pull only one chain to turn all the linked lights off and on.
W I on Jun 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Two lights can run series on one circuit. You could run each circuit to the same switch if the amps are not too high.
Could anyone post a picture from the top of the unit, so I could see how the hooks attach?
Eric B on Apr 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I actually put the chain on with screws. But you can also put a hook on the ceiling and attach the chain to that.Enter an answer to this question.
Can these be hard wired to a light switch?
Melanie S on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. You can cut the end off and wire as normal. Or you can install an outlet in the switches circuit and plug the light in there. This is what I did.
I am trying to connect two and only one will turn on that is powered from the outlet. i tried both connector cords but cant get the second one to turn on. i also switched the two around with the same issue. What else can i try to trouble shoot?
Kevin S on Jul 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Sorry. I don’t know. Mine work perfectly. Maybe lights are faulty
