7500-Lumen Linkable 4' LED Shop Light

This 7,500-Lumen 4' LED Shop Light is ultra-bright, long-lasting, and incredibly energy efficient. It makes an ideal lighting solution for shops, garages, laundry rooms and other work areas where task lighting is crucial. It's also an excellent upgrade for those expensive and fragile fluorescent tubes that flicker and fail all too quickly. Thanks to an LED life of 50,000 hours, the light can be left on for eight hours a day for over 17 years. No hum and no mercury for a safer, more environmentally-friendly lighting solution. Bright white light is very easy on the eyes, and comes to full-brightness the moment you turn it on, even in cold weather.

Features:

  • Linkable design lets you run several lights (up to to a total of 30,000 lumens) off of a single outlet
  • Includes two 12'' hanging chains, one 10' linking cord, and one link connector
  • Link connector can be used to connect two 10' link cords to space lights up to 20' apart (additional lights/link cords sold separately)

Wow! It's bright
This thing really puts out the light. I've got it in my basement woodcarving shop and it really is great for seeing small details. The only thing that I am disappointed about is that I didn't buy two or three of them when they were on sale for $47.99.

Good light but missing parts.
I like the lights , they greatly improved my work area , however one came without any parts kit and another had a defective coupler. I had to make up my own hanging chains and couldn’t couple 2 lights together for the lack of one coupler and the other one was non functional.

Recently had these installed. They provide a lot of light. I have 7 in a shop that's 1200 square feet and probably could have done the job with just 6. If you already have an outlet nearby, they plug right in and linking them is a breeze. I would definitely recommend them

quite bright
The light is nice and bright. The relatively high color temp is good for the shop. The unit is light and easy to install. (Note They take a second or so to turn on.)

The connectors are a bit fussy.

The two units I bought throw off wonderful bright light. Easy to install and link together via the power cables provided. I only needed one outlet to illuminate the entire room.

The best... don't intend to buy anything different.
Love it/them. On sale I’ll buy nothing else for my woodworking workshop. It was not clear to me but if you buy two or more, each comes with a connecter to string two of the extension chords together... so you can chain a second light off the first up to 8' away. I didn't need to buy the 10' extension chords to chain them together. A much brighter and "better" lights than the old time forms; can tell the difference over the 4700 lumen lights.

Purchased 8 for my shop, buying 4 more for another project. I am really impressed with the amount of light they put out, and love that I don’t have to rewire the whole room, I just put a couple of receps on a switch. Color temp is good for a work space.

I previously bought five individual 4000 Lumen lights, and these will work great in overhead fixtures. These four 7500-Lumen shop lights will work great 1) over my table saw 2) over my drafting table/assembly table and 3) in my garage, replacing the 2 flourcent fixtures. (I just bought four). Great to buy on sale!

Can this light be hard wired?
Margaret G on Nov 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Probably can just cut the plug off the end of the cord. and wire it up.
How does the first fixture in a linked run connect to service? A plug to an outlet or is it hard wired?
Jeffear on Dec 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It has a cord attached I think it is 6ft long, I had to use the included link cable to make it long enough to plug in the outlet
How many bulbs in the fixture?
Rob Y on Dec 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are no LED bulbs in these fixtures, instead they use the little square flat LED's and this fixture is bright.
Can these be hard wired to a light switch?
Melanie on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They come with a cord which has a plug so the easiest thing to do is to plug it into a ceiling outlet that is controlled by a wall switch.
can this light be linked to the 4000 lumen light?
Steve V on Dec 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Both lights have the same configuration for the cable that links them to additional lights, and the Rockler on-line catalog shows the same separately available accessory cable for each light. Although more are not linked because of how I light my shop, I believe these two models (4000 and 7500) can be successfully linked.
How many needed for 30’x40’ shop?
Hartwell M on Apr 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: (addendum to previous answer) - instructions indicate you can only link three (3) fixtures
Can these be hard wired to a light switch?
Melanie S on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am not an electrician, but I can see no reason why not. I will be hard wiring a few of the ones I bought into an already existing circuit. I will be removing the old fluorescent fixtures so I don’t ov else ad the circuit.
Can these be flush mounted?
JR B on Jan 12, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Since they come with hooks and chain to suspend them, flush mounting would require disassembly and screwing the case to the ceiling. I suppose you could box in the fixture but the lens is three sided to spread the light in a 180 degree pattern. All the cord connections for power and linking are on the ends. We are in a community wood shop with a high ceiling so we hung them 6' above the benches. We installed two banks of three in a 1000 sq ft room with ten benches. Our carving and Luther instructors love them. We used 7500 lumen as the 10,000 lumen were to bright.
Are these lights dimmable?
Gene_ on Jul 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: They cannot be dimmed, but I have found not reason to dim them. They are quite bright but there is no glare. I have three in a 12 x 12 wood shop and am very, very pleased.
Can these be hard wired to a light switch?
Melanie S on Aug 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes they could, cut the end off and wire to switch just like normal building wire.
