Great drawer slides!
These full extension drawer slides are great! They operate smoothly and as advertised. I Mounted them using the face frame brackets. Getting those adjusted was a little tricky, but once I did the slides performed perfectly.

well made & dependable
As a rank amateur, I'm not familiar with a wide variety of brands; but I've used Accuride in the past and been pleased with the result. In this instance, wondering how I got into a position making a row of merely 11" deep drawers, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Accuride made (and Rockler carried) these stubby little 10" slides, which work just as well as the longer ones.

Everything I Expected
My first attempt at using ball bearing slides. Went into my project without issue (A rolling tool cart) and work perfect. They provide full extension and have a little detent when closed to keep the drawers from opening on their own. Moving the rolling cart around does not result in the drawers self opening. Money well spent.

Solid slider tracks
The tracks were fairly straightforward to install and are well made. They are made from a nice thick metal and are very robust. Good quality for the money.

Nice
Nice quality, smooth, and sturdy. Bracket kit for face frame worked out well. I installed slides first, then built drawers for a precise (+/- 1/64") fit between the slides. I don't know how much tolerance is built into to the slides and +/-1/64" drawer width may be overkill, but it worked well for me.

a youtube done by wood magazine on installing drawer slides and they used the accuride slides. They did not mention the slides by name but they looked like the slides would be easy to install. I then ran a search for drawer slides and when I looked at Rocklers slides they were the same as what I saw on youtube. These are more expensive than other slides on the market but I was already sold from the youtube video.

What size screws?
A shopper on Jul 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: the size that comes packed with the drawer slides
How do you determine the length to use when depth of cabinet minus 1" equals an odd number, i.e. 17"? Nothing is mentioned about whether to round up or down. I would guess down, but confirmation would be nice.
Kevin D on Feb 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The answer would depend on what kind of drawer fronts you have. If your cabinet depth is actually 18" and you have overlapping drawer fronts like the picture, you can use 18" slides. If you have flush fronts, then you have to allow for them to go back into the front of the cabinet space and would use 16" slides.
Does the slide come attached to drawer sides as shown in pictures, like a box drawer or just the slide?
A shopper on Apr 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These excellent slides are the slide only. They attach to your drawer with four screws which are provided. The screws to attach the slide to the inside of the cabinet is also provided.
does the 3832 accuride file drawer slide come with a template for easy installation and lining up the two pieces on each side of the drawer so it is level. I'm replacing existing hardware on a wood desk file drawer? Thanks Don Howard
Don H on Jun 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't recall a template being included wth the drawer slides. I'd suggest cutting a spacer of wood to sit the slides on that places the slides at the correct spot on the drawer side. Position the spacer along the drawer side, place the slide on the spacer and clamp it in place when you drill pilot holes for the screws. Repeat for the other side, and the slides will be lined up.
Do I order a drawer slide the length of the side of the drawer or the depth of the cabinet front to back?
Pat Y on Oct 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Pat, I get them approximately the length of the side of the drawer. Generally they will be a little bit shorter, maybe an inch or a half inch. it's not critical. You do not want it longer than the length of the drawer. These are very strong and high quality slides and being slightly shorter will not affect a thing.
Will the zinc finish provide enough protection for use in an outside kitchen? The area is protected from water by a pergola and the slides will be inside the drawer front.
Michael K on May 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I think it would be good for a few years before corrosion would occur. If you want to be proactive and safe, use something like this. http://www.rockler.com/22-stainless-steel-drawer-slide
when the drawer slide says that it is rated for 100 lbs, does that meen that the actual drawer will be able to hold 200 lbs with the pair of slides?
Ben H on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 100 Ibs rating is per pair of slides total. The draw can hold 100 Ibs total.
how thick is the slide?
Asher H on Jan 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Slides are 1/2 inch thick, you must deduct 1" total from your draw box.
Are these slides soft close and do they come with all the necessary parts required to install them?
Jennifer M on Nov 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They are not soft close (I'm assuming you mean self close at the very end of the closing process). They do however come with all the necessary parts.
I'm building a craft cabinet in a closet and need it to slide back and forth on a wall. I know this slide can handle the weight. If I buy two pair so that I can use the left side slides on the back of the cabinet, will they work with what I'm trying to do? The cabinet is open faced and will be 84" high by 30" wide by 7" deep wth adjustable shelves.
Robert P on Feb 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I don't think that cabinet drawer slides were intended to bear weight on one side only, they need to be installed in pairs on either side of the load. You could possibly use drawer slides if you mounted them at the top of the cabinet, one on the back, and one on the front, with the mating part attached to an overhead brace. But it would probably be more effective and easier to mount a simple rail and roller system above and hang the cabinet from that. Think pocket door hardware or barn door hardware. Very strong, and you can make the rails as long as you please.
Do these slides have positive stop ?
Skidboot on Feb 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes for the full extension.
Can the side-mounting mechanism be attached to the cabinet back? Is a separate bracket required?
Frank B on Nov 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes, this can be done with the brackets http://www.rockler.com/accuride-face-frame-brackets-for-series-3832-3834-and-3864-slides sold separately.
I have a 36 wide drawer I getting right to left movement with the slides is that common?
Roger K on Dec 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have not had that type of problem with drawers up to 24 inches wide, but it might depend on the depth. There is some potential for play side-to-side. I just finished a nightstand with 14" width and 18" depth, and I can move them side to side at full extension. The 100 lbs specification pertains to vertical stability, not horizontal.
Can you get drawer slides that mount on the side , that are less than a half inch thick (1/2") like maybe 3/8" thick ,if so where can I get it ?
Shari S on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am not aware of any of this type of slide that are less than 1/2"
what kind of slide should be used for flush drawer front?
A shopper on Jun 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These Accuride slides high quality and will work well for flush drawer fronts. You will have to use a slide length which is at least one size shorter than the depth of your cabinet and then set the slide back from the front of your cabinet by the width of your drawer front. Both sides will need to be set back the same but the slides have elongated holes for this adjustment.
I need slides for drawers. When I measure them they are 19.5 inches in length. Is this accurate? Or would they be considered 20 inch? Does anyone know where the item number is listed? I can only see patent number 5 980 007 on the side. They say accuride and are zinc. series 3832
Thanks
