Accuride 4034
I needed this to replace the same piece from a 20 year old office desk drawer. I was glad that the part was still being made and that I didn't need to make any modifications. Made life easy.
So 20 years on the original not a bad record.

I was very pleased to find these as it was a direct replacement for the glides on the drawers. I had been having difficulty finding them locally.

So happy to find these are still being made!
One of the glides on a very old desk we got was damaged, and we were thrilled to be able to read the manufacture's information on them so we could order a new set. They were easily installed and the drawer is back to working again!

Stereo Turntable glide
Needed a glide that would support a stereo turntable and extend beyond the cabinet so I could open the lid and load a 33 rpm record. This glide works great for that purpose. Installation sheet had all the necessary info/measurements, which made the install go smoothly.

Easy install, well-made, works smooth!
In our new home, wife had wanted a file drawer in kitchen desk, but cabinet shop said they didn't offer one since doors under desk were less than 1 ft wide. After some research, I designed a drawer of 1/2 in plywood and ordered this slide to handle the files she wanted to keep there. Used over-travel to allow horizontal filing, as depth was no issue. It works great, and should last the lifetime of the house. Definitely recommend.

Replacing identical items purchased in 2001 that have failed -- there is a rubber pinch roller that holds the slide in its closed position, several have disintegrated. This could get worse for me because I have a set of six slides installed in a chest of drawers, meaning the other four could fail as well. Hopefully not, but that is the reason for this order.

Can these be installed in face-frame cabinet? I'm looking for high-capacity slides for a trash can drawer.
Matthew S on Jan 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Earl D answered this fairly clearly. The slides require 1/2" of space to travel in.

If the cabinet is 'frameless', the slides mount on the inside wall of the cabinet and then to the sides of the drawers which must be built to provide about 1/2" gap between the outside of the the drawers and the inside wall of the cabinet (1/2" inset drawers). The slide requires this 1/2" gap to travel in.

If the cabinet's face-frame protrudes into the cabinet box, then you could mount a piece of material that is as thick as the 'protrusion' inside the cabinet to mount the slide on. For example, if you have a face-frame that extends 3/4" into the cabinet box, then you could mount a 3/4" thick x several inches wide x cabinet depth length piece on the cabinet's inside wall, then mount the slide to it. The drawer sides still must be inset 1/2" to allow the slide to travel.
I plan to mount a closet rod between these two slides. Do you recommend building a frame (like a short, bottomless drawer) to prevent racking? Also, I will spread the load out as much as possible, but will the concentrated weight from the rods be a problem?
Chuckles K on Aug 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The slides will easily take the weight if you build a bottomless drawer. It will also keep it aligned so it won't bind. RH
I a 42" high countertop, with a 14" overhang. Can any of these slides extend the drawer mostly past the overhang to expose the drawer contents?
Christopher E on Oct 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Depends on depth of drawer . If the drawer is 14" deep and you have 14" overhang you won't see what's in drawer. If 28" depth you will have 14" drawer exposure.
My cabinet depth is 17-1/2". What size of slide to order????
harry v on Nov 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The drawers travel about 1 1/2 inches past full extension. I used 14" 150# Over-travel Accuride 4034 drawer slides in a file cabinet that is 15 7/8" deep. I suspect that 16" will work for you, but do not know what dimensions that you plan for your drawers. My drawers are inset with boxes that are 14 7/8" deep with 3/4" false fronts mounted on them (total drawer depth is 15 5/8").
What does a pair consist of?
