Rockler Ball Catch

Ball catches are a great alternative to magnetic catches when a more secure, positive hold is desired. They are also ideal for longer cabinet doors, where a ball catch at both ends will nicely conceal any slight twist in the door. This catch features a strong, smooth action and easy side-mount installation. A very economical catch that adds up to big savings.

An excellent product.
I am using these to replace plastic latches in a custom made cabinet from the Philippines. The quality is excellent and they will be much more durable than the plastic units that have degteriorated.

I have used magnetic catches in...
I have used magnetic catches in the past but these work much better. They were fairly easy to align. However, if you make a mistake and have to move them, don't expect the screws to hold up. I had to move a couple of them and the screws stripped. Other than that, these have been great!

I have multiple kitchen cabinet doors that refuse to stay closed. The magnets no longer latch the doors. The ball catch latches have very favorable reviews.

Closest thing I could find to an old catch on an metal apothecary cabinet that we are refurbishing. Will use without the catch as the cabinet itself will be the catch as it is on the original catches.

I have a house which was built in 1929 with offset, surface mounted cabinet door hinges. Because of the style of the doors and the hinges, the doors will not stay closed. These catches seemed like the perfect solution to keep the doors closed.
