As a middle of the road woodturner. I have found when you have a wee spot of unfinished (Oil, etc.) spot in you work. This stuff fixes all. I use it in all of my finishing to "finish" my work. It truly works.

So far, i like this finish!
I've only been using it for a week or so, but it had delivered some beautiful results! I find that my quality of finishing/sanding is directly proportionate to the quality of finish that i get out of it. I'm sure that can be said about most finishes. I've been making a lot of smaller hand held objects, boxes, handles, and pens.

When I first started using this product I didn't wait long enough between coats. It needs a little longer drying time than I expected. but results are great!!

How long does it need to dry between coats?
Zoe H on Feb 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I continually "buff" with small rag that I use to apply the finish. 2500 rpm. Shortened drying time

When water drops dry up on this finish, it leaves spots. What finish can I use on turned items to make it more water resistant?
Frans W on Jun 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: When water dries on just about any surface, whether glass, metal(like stainless steel),or this finish. the spots are the minerals that are left behind. A damp cloth should wipe away the minerals. I started using this finish about 5 years ago wondering how well it would hold up over time. I got my answer when my son,a professional chef, came to Maine to cook in Rockland. I gave him one of my pens and after 4 months the luster was gone yet the wood, a mahogany, was not stained by all the grease, oils and everything a kitchen could throw at it. I use two coats, applied about 4 to 6 hours apart. I have tried other brands yet will stick with this finish for the reason I have mentioned and because it is easy to repair if the finish is damaged in some way, like a scratch. Hope this helps.
