These slides combine all the benefits of the original Blum Tandem drawer slides, such as whisper-quiet soft-close action and totally concealed full-extension runners, with an increased weight rating of 125 lbs/drawer. The self-closing mechanism engages 2'' before the drawer is closed, and ever so gently eases it back into the cabinet. The undermount design makes them ideal for showing off the beauty of your wooden drawers. They feature easy tool-free adjustments in four planes: up-and-down, front side-to-side, rear side-to-side and tilt, plus depth adjustment with the elongated holes.
Blum Heavy-Duty Full-Extension TANDEM Drawer Slides must be mounted directly to the cabinet sides (in frameless box cabinet construction) or to slide-length spacer blocks securely attached to the cabinet sides (in cabinets that have face frames). Do not use rear mounting brackets.

I used a pair of these to make a large slide out drawer/bin for a trash can in our kitchen remodel. The instructions are a little intimidating but if you take your time and read the installation instructions slowly and plan carefully BEFORE you start cutting your drawer pieces, it all works out beautifully in the end. The mechanisms are smooth and quiet and the soft close feature is nice to help people from accidentally not pushing the drawer all the way closed. I would also HIGHLY recommend buying Rocklers jig that they sell for these slides, it saves a lot of time and headache doing the final installation steps.

Best ever for heavy duty requirements of high end furniture/cabinets
I purchased this model for a sewing/embroider/serger combo table I built for my wife. I designed the machines to rest on movable trays rather than enclosed drawers. Both are 18” deep by 21” wide & 41” wide. I am thrilled with this product. Needed to have the sewing machines to be pulled fully pulled out for access to adjustments and change attachments. No racking just no drag smooth movement.

Yes they cost a lot, relatively anyway, but if you want the best, here it is. Buy it once, install it properly, and you won't have to worry about these again.

Really great. It’s the only drawer glides to buy.

BEST ANSWER: I really do not know. If by "outside" you mean the slides could get wet with rain, I would say no. These things appear to be intended for dry service. BUT, they seem to operate well year in and year out in kitchens and bathrooms where relative humidity is sometimes high. I suggest you contact the manufacturer or a knowledgible vendor for better info.

Can I install two pairs (Blum item #48568) to one drawer--one set above the other-- to double the weight bearing load?
BEST ANSWER: No. These drawer slides are "L" shaped with the bottom leg of the "L" wrapping under the bottom of the drawer side. You might be able to mount a "side mounted" slide to the side of the drawer above the BLUM undermount slide but the distance between the drawer side and the side of the opening will very likely be different. Check the specs. Note that there are "side-mounted" slides that are available that are rated for 200 lbs., which I believe Rockler carries in stock.

My cabinet is only 19 inches deep. Will these work?
BEST ANSWER: If drawer fronts are overlay than yes. They need about a half inch behind drawer box

What is the Maximum drawer width for these slides? I didn't see any answer to the question posted previously...
BEST ANSWER: These types of drawer glides are not limited by a maximum width. However, I would assume that if the drawer became too wide, you might have to consider using the cross stabilizer that Blum has available to ensure the drawer pulls out straight and doesn't rack. I have used them on 32" wide drawers with no problems.

How do I remove a drawer which has under draw fittings?
BEST ANSWER: There are two clips, one on each side of the drawer underneath at the front. Squeeze the levers and the drawer should be released.

I'm making frameless cabinets with 16 1/2" interior depth (from back of drawer fronts to back of cabinet). Will the 18" slides fit?

I didnt buy the 18" but the 21" so i cant say.
If you go to the Rocker site and look at the page with the glides, you will see near the bottom "technical downloads" There are 2 there and one will have better info from the other one. From one of them, you should be able to figure it out.

Will these work for inset drawers?
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely. Just set the front of the slide 1/8" back from where you wish the drawer front to be. Keeping in mind that there may be a drawer box and the added drawer front. These are my favorite drawer slides. Just built a kitchen island with full inset drawers. I used the heavy duty for a drawer holding only plates. Smooth and soft close as advertised.

Does the rear mounting bracket come with the drawer slides? If not, do you sell them?
BEST ANSWER: The 18” Blum did come with brackets complete but the 30” did not — so be careful when ordering to make sure you get what you need to install

can I install the stationary runner to a fixed shelf, rather than to the cabinet side and back?
BEST ANSWER: I mounted the Blum bottom mount drawer slides to the bottom of a sink base cabinet base using Blum Universal Bracket Item # 21577.

My drawer is built with 3/4" sides, with a 1/2" bottom dadoed in 1/2" up from bottom. Will this work for 3/4" stock? if not, what slide will, as I'm trying to save an inch of space in a very narrow application?
BEST ANSWER: The Blum tandem slides that we sell are for 1/2" to 5/8" sides. You are looking for the Blum F series tandem slides.

My drawers are 22" can l get soft close runners for that size?
BEST ANSWER: To my knowledge you can only get the lengths shown in the catalog. You may be able to get the 21" to work with a little bit of "customization" by mounting the front of the slides back into the cabinet 1" in stead of the standard 1/8" back from the face. You would only have 21" of travel but I would think that would suffice in most cases.

My drawers measure 21 .5 " what size slide should I order?
BEST ANSWER: Both the 18" and 21" will work. The 18" might be a little easier to install (you will have more space) but it will limit how far you can pull the draw out. I would probably go with the 21".
