Bosch JS572EBL 7.2A Barrel-Grip Jigsaw

Boasts the most powerful motor of any jigsaw in its class, yet weighs just under 5 lbs! Compact barrel grip design offers excellent ergonomics.
Item #
52059

Bosch didn't skimp on power with the JS572 - its 7.2 amp motor makes it the most powerful jigsaw in its class. Yet despite its heavy-hitting motor, Bosch has trimmed and toned it in other areas to make it one of the lighter jigsaws in their lineup, weighing only 4.9 lbs. The aluminum gearbox and magnesium footplate are part of that lightweight formula, yet sacrifice nothing in terms of strength. Add to that a new precision double-roller blade guidance system, LED lighting to illuminates the cut line in dim and dusty conditions, and an included dust extraction kit, and you have a blueprint for a jigsaw that's sure to become a classic. Also available in D-Handle body style (50318, #sold separately).

Features:
  • Powerful motor with 7.2-amp rating - the highest in its class
  • Precision Control II Double-Roller blade guidance system laterally self-adjusts to minimize blade defection
  • Switchable LED lighting for enhanced visibility of cutting area
  • Large die-cast magnesium footplate with tool-free bevel adjustment
  • Compact, ergonomic body with upfront grip area for maximum control, precision and comfort
  • Variable-speed control dial sets maximum speed
  • Constant Response Circuitry maintains desired speed for consistent performance under load
  • Exclusive multi-directional blade clamp provides superior grip of T-shank blades (does not accept U-Shank blades)
  • Aluminum gearbox with insulated cover
  • Toolless blade-change system for fast blade changes
  • Blade ejection lever eliminates need to touch hot blade
  • Four orbital-action settings for smooth to aggressive cuts
  • Fully counterbalanced mechanism with low-vibration design ensures extremely smooth operation
  • Dust blower with on/off switch keeps cut line free of dust

what are the advantages of the D handle vs the barrel handle models of the Bosch jig saws?
Thomas B on Sep 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I feel like the barrel handle is more ergonomic and gives you better control over the tool as your hand is closer to "the action".
