Woodworking Experience:
worked perfectly
I used these on an old bureau that belonged to my grandmother. While not an antique or anything special it is a nice size and has sentimental value to me. I am not much of a woodworker and do not own a router so making the wooden center tracks was a task that I was not looking forward to. With these replacements, all I had to do was trim them to the correct length, bore the holes and countersink them. They worked perfectly with the old unbroken slides and the new replacement slides.

Up or Down
It apparently doesn't have any difference to the slide/or 'hanger'. My old drawer 'hangs' on the slide and it broke the 'wings' off - - very surprised to find the almost exact replacement.

Works great - - - thanks

Great place to buy hard to find items
Almost perfect fit. It required some modifications but manageable. Mine had an extra slot in it so I had to cut out a slot in the new one. But all worked out well and it performs very well, and my nightstand drawer is now restored to brand new performance. Thanks!

I'm retrofitting an old cabinet my father made from scraps. Drawer slides will help but drawer size is too random to use anything but bottom mount, even front to back size is an issue, as I found out when I mounted the last set I bought. This is a bit more primitive and is a bit more forgiving. I hope.

What if I have a steel center slide?
Lyndell B on Nov 26, 2016
I need to replace the wood center mount tracks in a dresser. The bottom of the drawer has a metal track. The wood track is in an H shape. It is 1 1/8 wide and 15.5 long and inset into the dresser about 1/4 of an inch. Any suggestions?
Rachel on Oct 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If you still have the old pieces try making your own out of a hardwood, like oak. That's what I do. Found it's easier than trying to modify something I've bought that doesn't quite fit right. Good Luck!
It says these can be cut. Can we order them cut or does the customer need to cut? I need glide that is 15" for my daughter's dresser.
A shopper on Apr 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The customer or installer needs to cut when installing.

Will these "T" shaped tracks work to replace my old "H" shaped wooden tracks?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Worked perfectly. It took so little time to replace I wish I hadn't waited for 3 years to replace old ones.
Can this be used to replace the center track for a top mount? (The drawer guide attaches and fits into the track above) Our cabinets have wooden guides and one has worn away. Also, the existing ones are 'H' shaped, rather than 'T' - would that make a difference for the top mount?

#28357 says pack. How many in the pack?
Dan G on May 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Slide Glides #28357 includes: (1) Center Track Slide Glide (the part that sits on the track sold separately), and (2) L-Shaped Side Saddles (those plastic things that sit on the side of the drawer).
Can this guide be fitted to any drawer?
Bryan T on Jan 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure what you mean by any drawer. But using it on a drawer as shown in the picture, it will work fine.
Do larger drawers (wider) need 2 of these (one on each side) or do you still just do one in the center? are they solid feeling with a larger drawer or do they "tip" side to side? Thanks!
tracy e on Nov 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: If it's really wide and heavy you might want to get side glides that go on the bottom corners of the drawer. Otherwise this will work fine; they sell little plastic guides that go on the front frame that let it slide easier and minimize side-to-side motion.
Are these made to fit/work together?
Lorraine C on Sep 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes they are.In my case I only needed to replace the slide guides. My hard wood centertrack was in good condition. It was nice to see that both were available if needed. The drawer has been working great since installing the slide glide.
What is used to stop drawer from sliding out?

Does the system use drawer guides in front? The cabinet hardware I'm replacing had plastic rollers on the front sides. Thanks!
Christine T on Jan 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it uses drawer glides. I only replaced the center wooden guide. It may work with rollers too.
Can I replace a track that measures 1ā€ in width with this one that is 2ā€ in width?
Cathy on Jan 7, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You can, as long as you replace the nylon sleeve that is mounted on the drawer.
I have an old 3 draw dresses (antique) it's wood and the the center mount slide is missing. The draws are leaning inward because there's nothing to hold them steady. I'm not sure which slide I need?
Rosalind M on Jul 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This product worked for me, because on my drawer the center wood was shattered. I did have to modify it's height on a sander to customize to how my dresser was built, and I believe a rubbed a bar of soap over it so it would open and close smoothly.

How do you attach the actual track to the dresser? Nails/screws?
kelley w on Aug 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi Kelley, don't use nails they will become loose real soon. One screw in the front and one screw in the back of the track. Countersink the heads.
What is the minimum bottom clearance? (Face frame mounting. Track can easily be recessed below edge of face frame.) And what is maximum extension?
BobMc on Jan 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not sure I can be of help. I merely replaced the broken pieces on a few of the drawers of my grandson's desk and did not have to be concerned about those issues, plus that was at least three years back so I do not recall a lot about that. I don't have the desk nearby either to check.
Does the center guide need to be rabbeted? I have an antique dresser that I want add these to, and do not want to cut into it. What are my choices?
Theresa S on Jun 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, only the screws attaching the receiver plate touches the drawer.
How do you fasten the center dowel?
beebs on Apr 11, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I had to drill holes to match the metal cleat which came with my drawer, then screws hold the plastic to the metal and the wooden drawer back.
