Quality Hose
The 4" dust hose is real sturdy , I only had one problem , the hose was supposed to be 10' long but was only 8' , I emailed customer care and they emmediately sent me a new one, NOW that is great customer relations, Rockler ( ROCKS ) I am happy with my purchase. You can't go wrong with such a great company. Oh and the hose works better then anticipated, I recommend it.

Exactly what I needed
The hose is very flexible. It allows me to easily drag it around the shop to move from one machine to another. Also, you can see the dust & chips flying down the hose. I have not had a clog, but it would be easy to see. I prefer this hose to the black, more rigid hose. When connected to a machine, the hose's flexibility allows tighter bends without stressing the connector on the machine. Also, it doesn't collapse if it gets restricted.

Great Hose
Works like a charm and you can see large splinters if they happen to get caught and wedged inside. If that happens (and it rarely does), easy to just give the hose a flex in the appropriate place, and they disappear into the dust collector.

Stronger than expected
I bought this hose to use as drop lines to some new machinery in a woodworking shop. This hose is a lot thicker and heavier than I expected. Great quality. I am planning to order more to run to some of my other tools.

It's what I needed
I'm using as a replacement for the vacuum hose on my Earthquake shredder. Thick walls seem like they'll last longer than the original hose. Tight, so good for no-leak fit but a little challenging for mounting to the fitting. I don't seem to be getting full extension, although in my application only one end of the hose is anchored.

I bought this hose and it doesn't fit the 4" fitting on my machine, what sort of connector do I need to attach the hose to my machine?
ROBERT D on Jun 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: When installing a flexible hose like this on a machine outlet outlet or a dust fitting it is helpful to first put the end of the hose in a bucket of hot water to make it pliable. Some folks will also use a drop or two of dish soap on the outlet or fitting to help make it slippery so the hose can be worked on to it easier. Then turning/rotating the hose as you work it on can also help.
is there special instructions to prevent static electric fire hazard ?
Bunky on Nov 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I run a copper wire through the PVC pipe and flexible tubing, exiting and entering with a small hole in the PVC or tubing to go around each blast gate. I connect every piece of stationary equipment to the dust collector to avoid the build up of static electricity from the friction produced by the dust particles racing through the pipe or tube.
What is the wall thickness ?
Joe P on Jan 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I didn't measure it with a caliper but would guess the plastic is 1/16 - 3/32". Obviously thicker when including the wire
How do you deal with a copper wire inside a Dust Right expandable hose? Thank you
Pierre B on Jan 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I did not install copper wire inside. I did bare a bit of the wire in the hose and connected it to my ground system. I have not detected static build up that I experienced with my old plastic hose with no wire.

Bryan J on Sep 1, 2015

Can this be cut into different/smaller lenghts?
ripkin900 on Apr 21, 2015

Good luck!!!!

Joe M on Sep 13, 2017
Will the 4 inch work on 4 1/8 inch outside diameter pvc pipe? Can it be streached enough?
Noel B on Apr 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It would be a really tight fit, it fits snug on 4"
is this a right hand spiral, or left? I bought a 10' and it would not accommodate screw-in quick connects.
Michael P on Jan 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Have not tried with any screw in fittings. I use the blue finger twist hose clamps to attach this to my quick disconnects. This looks to be the same thread from a typical, say 1/4-20 thread on a bolt - Righty Tighty. Hope this helps
What is the wall thickness for the Clear Flexible Dust Collection Hose - 4'' Diameter?
Jacob N on May 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The thickness of the clear plastic is 0.028".
like other users have complained, mine separated. Duct tape does not hold it together. Will the x-treme tape work?
Lou A on Jul 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Don't know about "X-treme" ape, but I've used the foil tape used to seal metal ducting, and it has held up pretty well.
With the proper size hose clamp, does this 4" hose fit directly over the the 4' inlet on the dust right wall mounted dust collector or does it require a separate an additional attachment?
William S on May 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use mine with a shop vac, so I can't answer that question. It does fit directly to the 4"outlet on my band saw though.
What is the pressure rating of the 4"? I am looking for ability to hold 9psi short term
John T on Jul 2, 2017
