Complete Basic Router Table Package With Accessory Kit

Item #
88% of 100

Whether you're in the market for your first router table, or a second basic table to be left set up for common operations, this package makes a fantastic value. It includes everything you need except the router, offering many of the benefits of much more expensive tables. It's a full-size router table with nearly five square feet of low-friction melamine surface area, and includes a rigid, precisely extruded aluminum fence. The MDF sub-fences can be easily repositioned around the bit and a safety bit guard is included to protect your fingers. The 3/8'' thick phenolic router plate is pre-drilled to fit Group A routers (see below for details).

  • Includes router table top, router mounting plate, fence, bit guard, starting pin and steel stand
  • Powder-coated black steel stand is sturdy, yet lightweight (despite its appearance, the stand does not fold up)
  • Overall table height is 36''
  • Top is full-size—31-5/8'' x 23-3/4'' x 1'' thick MDF with a melamine veneer
  • Router plate is phenolic, 8-1/4'' x 11-3/4'' x 3/8'' thick with four leveling screws and an insert ring
  • Insert ring is 4'' O.D. and 1-1/2'' I.D.
  • Standard 3/4'' x 3/8'' aluminum miter track
  • Fence is 32'' long with a solid extruded aluminum backer
  • Fence and sub-fences offer tool-free adjustments

Included plate is pre-drilled to fit Group A routers:

  • Makita 1100
  • Milwaukee 5615-5624
  • DeWalt 616-618
  • Bosch 1617-1618
  • Ridgid 2930 Combo Kit
  • Hitachi M12VC (fixed and kit)
  • Porter-Cable 690, 890, 7529, 97529 and 8529

Note: Current models of the Porter-Cable 892 require at least two screws to be 1/2'' long versus 5/8''.

Great Basic table
Table is stable. Easy to set fence for routing straight pieces. Top is smooth and does not skuff or mark project pieces. Vacuum port picks up all the chips when routing straight pieces.

Excellent Product
After unboxing and assembly, I tried a few dadoes and rabbets and before you know it I had built a bookcase. I'm a new woodworker and this is my first (probably last) router setup. Seems to do everything I need and has potential to grow with me as I become more experienced.

Great table for home workshop
I have wanted/needed a router table for many years and have always put off getting or making one. After retiring I have been involved in more woodworking projects and the need for a router table surfaced. I saw this table on special and it was a great decision. Sure, I could have made one cheaper but after my experience with making a crosscut sled was less than perfect, this was a good option. My only wishes would be foldable legs for space saving when not in use.

Great table - Great Customer Service
When I unboxed the table parts I noticed that two of the pieces were damaged. I called Rockler customer service, gave her the part numbers from the instructions, and they are sending replacement parts. It was that easy. A+ Rockler!

Seems it will be very sturdy once I assemble it. The table top, fence and plate parts, and my Porter Cable router weighed in together at 27 lbs. Can't wait to get this thing up and running.

Good Starter Kit
The setup is easy and the materials are high quality.

The table top is a smooth flat surface and the included hardware make this a great router setup station for those just starting.

I had to cut it down to fit my Rigid table saw but did and it works great. Now I have a stand that I need to get rid of.

Will the mounting plate fit Craftsman routers ? I have 4 of them !
Roy S on Nov 2, 2018
My router has three holes 4 5/8" apart. Will the router fit your plate?
Larry on Apr 22, 2015
BEST ANSWER: You would need to drill additional mounting holes in the plate to match your router. The pre-drilled holes would not match.
How tall is the table mounted on the stand?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2015
Can this table be drilled for the DeWalt DWP611 ?
Marvin H on Aug 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Anything can be drilled and re-positioned if it is done correctly and accurately. It all depends on the skill level of the craftsman.
Can the infeed fence be adjusted separately (offset) from the outfeed?
Gary E on Aug 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes! The folks who responded by saying ‘no’ obviously have no clue how to operate a router table. All you have to do is shim up the outfeed face plate. Rockler sells a shim kit or you could simply slide washers over the bolts that attach the face.
Can the Makita #RT0701CX7 router bases fit on this router table?
Donald B on Nov 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Cannot tell you yes or no as I attached a Bosch router to the plate. Sorry
Can you mount the top to a cabinet or something other than the metal legged frame?
Nate L on Nov 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I did. I made a rolling base to allow me to easily move the table around in the garage. I also set the height of the base so the routing table is at the height of my workbench. Only heads up is to make sure your design allows access to the bolts securing fence so that the fence can be moved easily. Have fun!
What is in the accessory kit? I see it is included free but I can't see what is in the kit.
Thank you,
John on Jun 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The first item is an attachment to hook up the hose for dust collection. The other three items are feather boards. Two attach to the fence to give downward pressure and one in the track to provide side pressure for your project. Hope this helps. PS. Click on the picture of the table and it shows the fee package. Click on that picture and you should get a full description of the package.
How easy is it to change your bit, or the height of your router?
Heather T on Jul 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Easy. I used the standard mounting plate that came with the table, and custom mounted my old Milwaukee router to that. I can lift out the plate with the router attached to change bits, and to change depth I reach under the table, release the lock on the router and adjust the depth ring.
what is a good router for this table?
jeff s on Jun 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Rockler,

I hooked the table up to my old Porter Cable 6902 Router. It fits just fine and you provided plenty of other screws to hook up other brands if I needed to.
I want to make cabinet doors with this table and some of my friends say that I need a 3 HP motor to do it properly so I don’t know why to answer this consumer since my router is NOT a 3HP router.
I would say, any router would work just fine given the parts you sent out but to do all projects I just don’t know. I am doing my research and I will find out as soon as I can.
OVERALL the table is just great, especially with the 4 piece accessory kit that came with it.

Thank you,
John H
I have a Ridgid 2200 router. Will this table work?
gary w on Oct 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The table comes with an insert which has a fastener pattern for certain routers. Rockler’s catalog has inserts that you can match up to various models. Recommend you check their table plates. Group A includes Ridgid
What size is the dust port? Thx in advance, Ted
Frank S on Dec 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: 2 1/4 inch. I use a 4" to 2 1/4" reducer to attach it to the rest of my vac system.
What is the distance between the slots for the fence on the table? (thinking about cutting it down for my TS wing)
Ryan S on Nov 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Are you talking about the opening on the slots on either side? They're actually adjustable. I was thinking I was going to need to cut mind down as well for my tongue and groove sets
Have a Porter Cable model 75182 type 1 which was purchased approx. 30 years ago. Is this router compatible with this table?
Richie on Nov 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Richie , I really feel like this would pretty much work on any router with a little modification . I was planning on using one of my 4 Craftsman routers but because it has gotten cold and my garage/workshop is not heated so I haven’t been able to get out there to try one of my routers . However from what I saw and measured it appears that it will work . Sorry probably wasn’t much help but this table seems way better that the table I was using.
will this work with a Bosch Colt Palm Grip PR20EVSK?
Kenneth R on Nov 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Your choice of considering the Rockler table router with accessories kit is a wise and practical one. My main contention with your request is the incompatibility with the dimensions between the Rockler phenolic plate circular plate ring (4' O.D.) and 1-1/1/2 I.D) and the Bosch Palm grip router rectangular base or sub base(3- 1/2" and 3-3/4") . I may have overlooked something, but you would have to manufacture an insert ring and a phenolic plate to work together with the Bosch Palm grip router.
If you ever decide to upgrade to a higher Horsepower router, you may want to insure that the characteristics
of the Rockler router table is compatible with the intended purchased router. Good luck.
I have a router porter cable that requires a " c plate " can the A plate be converted to to fit my porter cable. ?

BEST ANSWER: I mounted my Porter Cable Model 1000-T2 to plate that came with Basic Router Table Kit
will it accommodate a large plunge router or is it only for trimming routers?
Fenceart F on Dec 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use a full size fixed base Bosch router on it. I don't see why a plunge wouldn't work on it, as I used one on my old table, and the base on it was pretty much the same size as the fixed base. But I don't believe a trim router would fit it as it is much smaller. This is a great, sturdy table. I love it.
is there any chance i could mount my festool router?
A shopper on May 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If the predrilled holes don't fit, you can always drill your own holes in the plate to fit your Festool router. My Rigid router fit the holes; but, I drilled one so that I could reach the lift bolt with the t-wrench.
Will a porter cable 895 router fit?
henry w on Nov 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will
Will this table fit a Porter Cable Type 1 Model 75182 router?
Richie on Nov 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I can't say with absolute certainty as I don't have that router, but it should. Porter Cable is popular and there are none that I'm aware of that it won't fit. Router bases are easy to make and Rockwell also carries a clear base that fits about anything. At the current sale price, I wouldn't worry about the base plate. I bought mine for a Bosh.
I don’t see a craftsman listed as the predrilled holes in the plate. Does that mean I can’t use it with that router?
Naomi J on Nov 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: If it’s not listed I don’t believe it fits. I have a ryobi router that wasn’t on the list and it didn’t fit, so I just marked and drilled the mounting holes my self.
Can the hole in the table accept a large diameter bit Is the fence adjustable to open for large diameter bits? (ex. Raised panel cutter)
Jarrod W on Nov 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it can. You have to change out the center ound plate. And yes the fence is adjustable. I actually removed the rectangle plate and dropped in the adjustable Rockler router plate
what caster to use for #54295 router table?

Will the fx lift fit this table?
A shopper on Jul 31, 2015
which router Lift is compatible with The Complete Basic Router Table ?
Bacar D on Jul 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I happen to have previous experience using some of the jigs from Incra, so that's the one I ordered and am using, I wasn't disappointed with my choice, and having used it several times since it arrived, I'm enjoying it more every time I use it. As for the basic router table with accessories, I found it to be adequate. In retrospect, If I were to do it again, I'd have ordered either the steel stand or the wooden cabinet which would have negated the additional work of building my own cabinet and mounting the basic table to a half inch sheet of plywood complete with casters. Overall, I'm happy with the result.
