Core box router bit
This cutter performed perfectly, as I expected. I do not have a plunge router, but it worked great by tipping the router into cherry wood while running. It did not pull to the side since it was sharp enough to cut the wood easily.

Worked well
Needed to try and match an old door that looked to have used a shaper to cut the edging. Since I do not have a shaper I matched this bit to the same curve. After a few tests I tried it on the door and it worked great.

They has so many parts that you can' t find anywhere else.

I cannot find the bullnose baseboard corners that I want for under $7.00 a piece. I am hoping this router bit will enable me to build my own bullnose baseboard corners for much less. I need around 42 of the pieces to complete the baseboard trim in my house.

Do you have a router the size of a golf ball, 1.68 inches?
Jim Kork on Jun 9, 2016
We need to cut finger pulls in a couple of butcher block cutting boards. I'm pretty sure the 1/2" bit will be fine for size. My question is the gradual beginning and ending of the cut -- will this bit do that as well, or are we looking at another piece of equipment in addition?
mezzodiva54 on Jun 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Side or edge cuts are completely irrelavent. Tapered ends can be accomplished with wedges at ends of groove. Let router ride up the wedges untul clear of cutting board surface. Might need to practice to achieve accuracy.
I understand that everything is based on individual need, but I need to route finger pulls into under counter slide out cutting boards. Typically which size bit would be best for this, and typically how far in from the edge should the groove be? Thanks.
chuck on Aug 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Don't know if this helps for the full extent to the question but I made some neat finger pulls for hex boxes I'm making combining first the Rockler 1" round bit and finishing an overcut with the 1" dovetail ( both 1/2" shank )
less than 1/4" over the round to give it a nice edge ; works nice for a vertical hand grip on a cedar box with 1/2" or so would where the cut depth is limited, but maybe not for your application .
Will these bits fit/ work in a plunge router?
A shopper on Jul 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, as long as the router has a 1/2" collet.
