So quiet, you'll wonder if you forgot to plug it in!
Item #
92% of 100

With a noise output of only 44 decibels at 25', the EA-2000 hotdog compressor provides welcome relief to the ears of contractors and home woodworkers alike. With no need to shout over the din of the compressor motor, it eases communication on the jobsite, as well as relations with family members and neighbors on the home front. The EA-2000's slow RPM induction motor reduces noise, heat, and friction, while dual air intakes allow plenty of airflow. These attributes also promote less wear, resulting in a longer life. With a total weight of only 25 pounds, the EA-2000 compressor is also highly portable, and it won't hog floor space in your shop.

  • Ultra quiet operation dramatically reduces the ''what?'' count in your shop
  • Sleek, steel control panel offers extra protection for the pressure gauges
  • Adjustable pressure regulator and push-to-lock quick coupler for ease of use

  • Draws only 3.5 amps, increasing life expectancy by 4 times over the average compressor

Eagle EA 2000 Silent Series Compressor
Wow what a very pleasant surprise this machine is. It works as good as my Pancake compressor and I can everything with the eagle compressor that I could do with the Eagle compressor. The best thing is how quiet the Eagle compressor is when running. I can hardly hear it when it starts up and the motor turns on to generate pressure in the tank. I would give the machine very very high recommendations!!

Nice and Quiet
I keep this in my garage which is just off my kitchen. When I used my old compressor it would reverberate into the house and be very annoying. This compressor can't even be heard in the house when it is running. Needless to say , my wife is also pleased.

Very nice compressor
I like the two knobs used to hold the wound power cable. VERY quiet. The knob that adjusts air pressure has little effect. The valve that drains condensed water is conveniently located and well designed.

Perfect for light use!
Perfect first compressor! Small, VERY quiet, great features. Luv the adjustable outlet pressure and the quick connect. Perfect for car/bike tires and an air gun. Solid construction. Possibly a small pin nailer. (Get a bigger EAGLE for air tools.)
I may add a power switch to the front panel (and maybe extend the tank drain to the front). Really happy with this unit. (3rd Eagle compressor in family.) It's SO quiet!

Fifty years of head-splitting noise is enough! I would like to spend the next fifty years in my wood makers shop with a little less noise and aggravation! It's time to retire my other three air compressors anyway.

Where was this made? Does it come with any attachments?
nick! on Nov 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is made in China and comes without any accessories.
What is the duty cycle on this compressor?
John S on Dec 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: A duty cycle is specified as ratio of time running, typically as a percentage. It specifies how much the manufacturer recommends a unit can be on for in any given period typically one hour. So for example 50% duty cycle means the unit can run for 30 minutes out of every 60 minute period without experiencing premature wear.
Will this compressor run finishing nailers?
Tommyboy on Dec 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use it with 18 gauge and 23 gauge nailers. Larger nailers with rapid use would probably tax it's limited volume...
How fast is the recovery?
Anthony P on Apr 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Recovery time is a little hard to answer because it depends on the conditions and tool you are using. I bought this compressor to use mainly in my woodworking shop and in the house. I use it primarily for nail and staple guns and for their use it works very well because only momentary bursts of air are required and you can keep working even if the compressor is running to build back up to it's maximum pressure. High CFM rated tools, like a 1/2 inch impact would not work well with this compressor. You could use it to air up tires but may have to wait a couple times for it to build back up. For my use I really like it; it's small, very portable, very quiet and well designed.
has anyone shot 16 ga. 2.5" finish nails with it ?
p L on Jul 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yup, works great. I bought this compressor because of its quiet operation. I wanted a quiet machine for working in customers homes. This does an excellent job for finish work.
Where was this compressor made?
Bill H on Dec 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This is made in China.
Can you use it for a pressure pot?
Deborah K on Jun 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Doubt that it produces enough air. Works great for finish nail guns.
I bought the compressor about 5 months ago and am pleased with the performance so far. However, although still not outrageously loud, it did suddenly get much louder. I contacted the distributor (Rockler gave me the contact number) and they said to blow out the muffler. I did his with no change. Has anyone else had this experience?
JIMMY D on Sep 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I also noticed my compressor got a little louder but it is still much quieter than my old compressor. I use my Eagle compressor at least once a week.
What is the mfg. warranty on this compressor?
Dwayne on Nov 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Manufacturer offers a 1 year warranty.
can the eagle-2000 drive an upholstery staple gun ?
Elizabeth F on Nov 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm quite sure it will have no trouble doing it. I have driven 1½" long brads easily. This is a great product and it is quieter than a small cordless drill when running.
Is the hose included or must be purchased separately? If so, is there a specific one that's needed or are they universal (can I use the hose from my old compressor)?
Mira D on Feb 15, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No hose was included. A hose is a hose, so it doesn't matter--any air hose. However, whatever hose you do use must have a quick disconnect type connector that matches the female end of the one supplied on the compressor. You can see it in the photo, just to the right of the pressure control knob on the control panel. BTW, I really like this quiet little unit.
What is the noise decibel level measurement when running? (You can use the iPhone Decibel meter app called "Decibel Meter Pro" to measure. It is a free download.) For example, 50 = Quiet office, Rain, Quiet Conversation), 85 = Vacuum Cleaner, Snow Blower.
Robert L on Oct 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I had a dehumidifier sunning at the time (44 dB), so my numbers are probably not too accurate, but I got 65 dB at 5 feet and 60 dB and 10 feet. I think their 44 dB number is a bit optimistic, but it is still much better than a regular compressor.
would this be a good compressor for air brushing?
clifton t on Aug 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I believe it would perform beautifully in that role. Small, quiet, easily portable with plenty of both pressure and cfm for an air brush.
Where can i buy parts for compressor Model #: EA-2000?
Nathan L on Jun 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is the same as the Hitachi compressor, so you may be able to get parts from them
Over the years, I've had several pet dogs that fear-react to compressor noise, to the extent they bolt out of the house and run away. Can anyone who's had similar experiences and has switched to this compressor tell me if the sound level is quiet enough to avoid such a fear reaction?
ladyengineer on Oct 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This thing is louder than your refrigerator compressor (but just) and much quieter than a small window air conditioner. I can’t imagine your pup being frightened by it. Moreover, due to its small capacity it will cycle often enough where your animal will get used to it. I love mine for smaller jobs and remodeling projects. You will have to tighten down a fastener now and then as they will rattle free, but no big deal. Thinking of adding some lock washers to a couple of areas that shake loose more often. I’m really happy with mine. Good luck.
If I am using this compressor with an 18 gauge nailer does the compressor stay on during the job or does it hold a decent amount of air to do many nails before it kicks in again and of course when it does kick in again, how long does It take before it’s full and shuts down - Can anyone give me an approximation of how many nails at 18 gauge could I shoot before the compressor turns on again?
gary c on Nov 27, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I don’t have an exact number but I had no issues using it to install quarter round. I’ve used both an 18 gauge and 23 gauge successfully. Hope this helps.
I'm looking at the specs for this, and I can't see how this wouldn't make a good compressor for an airbrush. It seems quieter than some of the airbrush specific compressors I've looked at. The tank is a bit larger than the others. With a moisture trap set up in the line, I can't see how this would make a nice compressor for an airbrush, any thoughts Or considerations I may be missing?
Robert on Jul 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm sure this would work perfect for an air brush. All I know for sure it can't sustain a large amount of air for a long time. Using it to pump up tires or pool toys will take a long time. Good luck, I would buy it for an air brush system.
I suppose I could manifold an additional 2 gallon receiver to this unit, to get more longevity at the tool (nailer), but the downside would be longer recovery time and greater strain on the pump. Am I right? Or is it a reasonable trade-off?
Bruce E. on Oct 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The greater strain on a compressor is from more frequent starts. So adding additional tank capacity will not only give you a longer recovery time but will lengthen the life of the compressor. The only downside would be a larger setup (less portability) if you have the additional tank mounted as a permanent part of this compressor.
What is SCFM of the unit?

Is The Eagle 2000 compresor able to run a hvlp spray gun for wood proyectos?
Ricardo L on Nov 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Don't know. I don't use it for sprayingEnter
I bought a new 1/4" quick connector set and hose for this compressor. Why won't the 1/4" male fit the quick disconnect on this unit? What size is it. Can't find size in the manuals.
Vince on Dec 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It’s a standard 1/4 coupler but there are “industrial” and “automotive” type couplers. Check which one you bought, and use the other. I can’t tell you which one I’m using since it was just in a parts box, but the other type didn’t fit.
