By rear-mounting this lid support and placing it at least 6" from the edge of the lid, you'll get added safety and smooth lift-up action. For use on boxes and chests with 3/4" backs. Most lids require only one support, but two can increase the weight capacity. Zinc mounting brackets; black nylon body with steel springs. Installation instructions included.
Note: It is important to follow the mounting instructions closely. By varying the mounting location of the brackets, you change the weight capacity of the support. There are five different weight ranges. Use the formula in the instructions to determine the proper mounting location for your application.
