Festool Mobile Drilling Attachment MB 40-Set (577971)

Attached to your Festool drill equipped with FastFix (see note, below), the MB 40 Mobile Drilling Attachment will help you drill perfectly straight holes at 90°, wherever the task may be. Installing the drill on the attachment is easy: just unclip the chuck from the drill and snap the chuck and the drill on either side of the MB-40 holder. Then set your drilling depth up to 2'' using the depth stop, align the drill bit with your layout lines and proceed to drill clean holes through wood, metal or plastic.

The set includes a parallel side fence for drilling holes into the face of a workpiece, a fixed distance in from an edge. There's also an adjustable end stop that fits on the parallel side fence for boring into workpiece edges or ends. A guide rail adapter lets you install the MB-40 on Festool guide rails (sold separately), for drilling lines of holes even farther in from an edge. Or use the 3mm and 5mm hole series pins for boring holes in cabinet components using the 32mm measuring system.
