better sight
while we do have fairly good eyesight, Wife and I, a little help goes a long way. With the magnifier we can see up close with a lot more clarity, no more having to squint to see a fraction or a small word. Great help for both of us. Five stars...

I can see again!
I use these to do cross stitch and they are wonderful. I had to give this craft up for several years until I found these magnifiers.

Focal point too close for my use. May try a higher magnification....worth a shot. Tried with and without my glasses in addition to the magnifier.

Bad experience
The magnification isn't what I had hoped and when I checked with an employee at the store, I was informed that the additional magnification lens were not available at the store, but I would need to contact the manufacturer. As it is now, I won't be using the magnifier. I might as well be using my "cheaters"! Waste of time and money!

I am replacing two of the same glasses that I already use at home for needlepoint projects. They magnify the canvases just enough for me to work on them comfortably. I love the fact that they allow me to work hands free.

I need them for sewing. I make quilts and there is a lot of strain on the eyes. I think you should share this product with quilt stores in the area.

Have used these magnifiers for at least 10 years for needlepoint work. The puppy chewed them up! Had to get a new pair. These are terrific and I couldn't do needlepoint without them!

Is the head strap adjustable?
Sue L on Jun 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No though it doesn't need to be for they are very light in weigh.
so the strongest magnification is 2.0? that is not really much, is it?
La P on Jan 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I find the 2x provides a useful amount of extra detail. You can find a 2.75x lens on the web.
I want to repair my iPhone. Very small components. Would this be perfect for that?
jimbob on Nov 6, 2015

Has anyone tried these while operating a wood lathe?
Leon S on Dec 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: original purchase was for my wife, that's another story though, when she was done and did not need the magnifier any longer I took them out to my shop and started using it and much to my surprise worked very well for all that I tried them on, including while on the lathe. I do a lot of small turnings, pens/pencils and more, using the magnifier gave me a very close up view without blocking my vision like I had while using my bench mounted lighted round magnifier. I have had great results using the magnifier and in the end I purchased another for use while in the house. My face mask and shield fit over the magnifier with no problem. Try, you will be happy with the results.

Is this adjustable to head size? One person says yes, another says no. .???
Mary L on Jan 1, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, mine is adjustable
How do you adjust the magnification or do you have to choose 1 specific magnification?
Sue L on Jun 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The frame accepts one of two lenses provided. It's simple enough to change from 1.6 to 2.0 power.
