no more scratched desk tops
built a hobbying desk, several machines with short cords had to use power bars, scratched the top up a lot, this allows the machines to be plugged in and not have the bar slide, works great will buy again

Perfect solution for a tiny kitchen
We installed the Hide-a Power Outlet Station in the kitchen counter in several of our tiny homes. Great space saver, and everyone just has to remark on them - so cool!

Works great
When replacing kitchen counter, we lost access to a conveniently located plug. Placed this in the new counter and plugged it into the old one now below the counter top. Very sturdy and works great. Thought $50.00 was a little steep, but for a pop up outlet that looks awesome...a great deal.

Is the entire assembly made of plastic?
A shopper on Jul 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: yes, the main body and threaded portion and jamb nut are of structural plastic of some type.
I have two and use them thru our Granite counter tops for blender, crock pot, whatever.
they are really slick.
Can this be installed into the face of a base cabinet? I do not want to drill into the soapstone on my island but would like to have access to the extra outlets.
PAMELA S on Feb 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would say yes, but not sure you would want to.
I understand that you don't want to mess up your counter top, but having this in the base cabinet will have it poking out into the room or a walk way and thus be run into.
If you could mount it in such a way that it wasn't sticking out into the traffic flow then it would be ok.
Hope this helps.
is it spring

what holds it up, is it spring loaded ?
Darrin M on Jul 13, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It has a detent that holds in place when it is pulled full up. Halfway up has no holding.
is it water proof? am afraid since i need for the kitchen counter, water can get to it,
Irma M on Oct 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Water resistant would be a better term. Never had an issue with mine in the kitchen counter top. When closed, cap fits over lip. When open, bottom outlet is above spill level.
I love mine.
can i get it in white or chrome?
zack l on Sep 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not that I have seen. You only see the top when recessed. You could paint it.
How thick of material can this be inserted into? Will it work on 1 1/2 inch material?
Thomas N on Jun 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It sure will, I'm at 1" and there seems to be another 1.5 left.
can the orientation of the plugs be changed, as I would need them all like the bottom one?
