Woodworking Experience:
One of the best measuring devices in my shop!
I use the Incra T-rules all of the time. I have the 3", 6", and 12" T-rules. I always use them insead of a ruler because they are so accurate. I have dozens of .5 mechanic pencils which are needed with these rulers. It's even easy to measure in 1/64ths. They give me no reason to make mistakes when measuring.

Had the 3 Inch Ruler
Just needed to draw lines on a 12 in project. The 6 in ruler worked great.

Best combination of quality, accuracy, and cost!
Great product! Love the accuracy and ease of use this tool provides. Making clean, accurate marking measurements is sooo easy!

The only thing you have to be careful about is not damaging the thin sheet metal. Yes, you could buy a Woodpecker tool instead, but you'd be paying the cost of 3 or 4 of these Incra rulers! For me, Incra wins overall.

Woodworking Experience:
Great quality and precise. Though not specified, an ordinary .5mm pencil works to draw lines or mark.

Worth its weight in gold.
This is best measuring/marking tool I own. I've bought all the high end layout tools available and I use this over all else. My woodpeckers rules are collecting dust now. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

"Precision" and 60 yr old eyes don't get along very well. For that reason, I find these rules invaluable.

Have the 12 inch version of this. For much of what I do, 6 inches would be sufficient with no extra length to get in the way.

Ryan M on Jan 6, 2017
I have seen it used and its benefits on Foureyes Woodworking Youtube channel.
camron d on Jan 5, 2017
Repeatability of marking, takes nuance of marking off a ruler out of equation. Doesn't need to be adjusted for each different mark like a combo square or mortising gauge does.

How flexible is this? In the video I see the longer ones bend a bit. I'd love to be able to use this on circles and curved surfaces as well.
Jeremy F on Apr 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The metal on the small one is quite flexible within limits. Please note that it is not marked or marketed as being spring steel. Having said that I would limit the deformation of the metal to no more than about 25 degrees.
Does it have mm scale?
witt s on Feb 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I have the 12" T-Rule and it only has 16ths,32nds & 64ths. I've not seen a metric one but searching online lists one.. T-RULE300M

Hope this helps you.

Is there a scale to mark half and half on a board?
David W on Oct 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: yes, there are ibcremental marks across the scale. simply check the overall with and calculate the half mark. the scale has pen holes at each mark. you set the pencil in those holes and draw the scale across the board
