Jorgensen's 8000 Series Parallel Bar Clamps are ideal for clamping anything that must remain flat and square: panel glue-ups, boxes, cabinets, frames and raised panel doors. That's because the jaws remain parallel to ensure squareness and minimize bowing or lifting under pressure. The width of the jaws also helps to distribute clamping pressure, and the durable polymer shells help to prevent marring. Both the wide jaws and the removable foot at the end of the bar work together for excellent stability when stood upright on your workbench.

Features:

  • Jaws remain parallel for flat glue-ups and square assemblies
  • Heavy-duty steel jaws and high-carbon steel bar for up to 1000 lbs. of clamping pressure
  • Ideal for cabinet and furniture assembly and other precision clamping tasks
  • Wide footprint for great stability on the bench
  • Head is reversible for use as a spreader

New Jorgensen clamps are not as professional quality you have come to expect.
I own these clamps in 48”, 24” and just purchased 2 of the new 36”. The thread on the clamping mechanism went from 1/2” down to 3/8” and they do not stay square under pressure like the original clamps. Please go back to the professional quality. I can’t say I can recommend the new design.

where are they made now?

BEST ANSWER: These clamps are made in China.
I have a cabinet master jorgenson clamp and because the moveable jaw fell down on the fixed jaw, i can no longer separate them because there is not enough wiggle room. Do you have any suggestions?

BEST ANSWER: I've had this happen, so I pass on what worked for me. Set the clamp down on its bottom edge. While pressing down on the top off the fixed jaw with your left hand, grab the handle with your right hand more towards the end of the handle and snap up on it briskly. It may take more than one snap. Hope it works for you.
