Loox LED Dimmer Switch

Good switch. The only negative is that the whole is for 13 mm rather than 1/2 inch, which makes getting it right a bit tricky for those of us without metric drill bits. Functions very well - cool!

The dimmer switch works fine. The instructions are minimal and mostly picture instructions. I spent time experimenting and eventually it works as expected.

The instructions are printed in many languages, so there is a lot of paper but not much clear information.

Used this with the 22" bar light kit...was unable to use the bracket came with as it would require it to be seen on side of cabinet inside where I mounted switch...drilled hole through bottom of cabinet so it is not visible...just easy to reach under cabinet ...like that it just takes light touch to go on and off and then dims...very happy...

I installed a Loox dimmer switch in my remodel of a dish cabinet and it works well, but was a bit challenging to locate the item in a convenient, but not distractive spot. The switch shines a blue led at the end which I did not want to see on the outside of the cabinet, so I mounted it in a drawer with enough cord held out of the way to allow the drawer to operate without binding on the cord. I'm very happy with the result.

Bought the Loox 24V LED lighting system for my built-in cabinet/bookcase project. There was limited info -- and that is an understatement-- available on how the switch functioned. I opted to bore a hole and place the switch in an out-of-sight area on the bookcase. The power supply is plugged into a switched outlet. My intent was to have the lights on/off controlled by the wall switch, and then use the dimmer switch if I wanted to vary the intensity. But that is not how it works. If you turn the lights OFF using the wall switch, to get the lights back on you need to flip the wall switch ON, then go to the dimmer switch and tap it to restore power to the lights. The lights will then turn ON at full bright, regardless of the intensity at shutdown. The switch itself can be finnicky to operate. All it takes is a quick tap to turn ON/OFF. When varying the intensity, there is a slight delay (1-2 seconds) before you see the results. It's just long enough to make you start thinking it isn't working properly.

Would I buy again? Probably because it is the only option with Loox. I wish Loox would have someone not familar with their products construct their web site. That might result in more useful info being available to the consumer.
