M2 Mesh Face Masks, Safety Orange

Comfortable, breathable dust masks with dual exhalation valves that direct hot air away from your safety glasses—no more fogging!
Item #
GRP40386
Rating:
68% of 100

For woodworkers, the basic paper dust masks with rubber band straps have an annoying drawback: every time you exhale, hot, moist air is forced out of the gaps around the bridge of your nose, and your safety glasses quickly become fogged. RZ M2 Mesh Masks circumvent that problem with dual exhalation valves that direct air down and outward, away from your safety glasses. This package includes the standard F1 filters with active carbon, as well as a 3-pack of HEPA filters, both of which screen out particles down to 0.1 micron. The mesh material is lightweight, comfortable against the skin, and allows cooling air to circulate in areas that don't require filtration, such as the back of your neck. As we all know, a mask only benefits you if you wear it, and with no rubber bands to tangle in your hair or chafe against your neck, you won't hesitate to wear this one.

Features:

  • Mesh material is lightweight, breathable and durable
  • Replaceable filters and washable mesh maximize the life of the mask
  • Dual one-way discharge valves reduce condensation on safety goggles
  • Adjustable nose clip also helps to prevent fogging
  • Adjustable velcro strap provides a comfortable fit—not too tight and not too loose

Package includes a 3-Pack of HEPA Filters, offering 40% better breathability than the standard F1 filter!

With their dual layers of particulate filtration, F2 HEPA filters are capable of trapping particles down to 0.1 microns in size. F2 filters do not feature active carbon, but they offer 40% better breathability than the standard F1 filters.

What Size Mask Should I Buy?

Choosing the correct mask size
To determine the correct mask size for your facial structure, we recommend taking exact measurements using the method described below.
1. Measure from the bridge of your nose to just under your chin. *See guide below. (It may be helpful to have a friend assist you) 2. Use the measurements you have taken and match to the best fit from the below: NOTE: If you are on the bubble based on measurements - refer to weight.

  • Extra Large (XL) - 4.5" - 5.5" | 215lbs +
  • Large (L) - 4" - 4.5" | 125lbs - 215lbs
  • Medium (M) - 3.5" - 4" | Up to 125lbs

Filters are designed to match your chosen mask size, i.e. Extra Large (XL) mask houses an XL filter.
Below is a general guide based on body weight (note that facial measurements are more accurate for ensuring correct fit).
  • Extra Large - 215 lbs +
  • Large - 125 lbs - 215 lbs
  • Medium - Up to 125 lbs

(1) M2 Mesh Face Mask
(2) F1 Filters with Active Carbon
(1) Storage bag

Best Dust Mask Ever
I have been using this for several months and it does a wonderful job of filtering out sawdust in my shop and dirt in my garden. Love being able to exhale and see out my glasses at the same time.

Dust mask that works with safety glasses
Finally a dust mask that is comfortable, does not leave band marks on my face and the best part does not fog up my safety glasses when wearing both together. . Definitely a must for any woodworker.

Great for tablesaw work on MDF
I hate to wear a dust mask anytime, but working with MDF on the tablesaw or chopsaw makes it a necessity to get some protection. This mask seems to me the most comfortable option, though I haven't owned it long enough to report on product durability.

size seems smaller than expected
I measured as instructed and ordered a large; while I understand that it needs to fit snuggly, I wish I had ordered an extra-large.

I would definitely recommend this! It performs really well and doesn't fog up my safety glasses. I am giving a 3 star because I ordered orange and got safety green. I have asthma, so I wanted to use it and not wait for the return. With that said, the product is definitely a 5 star!

Ordered a Large, Received a "Normal"
This mask is just too small for me. I ordered a Large, but received a "Normal". I'm far from normal.

Does this mask seal around the face to block out all dust?
Kevin C on Jul 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The mask seals well around my face and provides a not perfect but much better seal than those you buy at Home Depot. There is a replaceable cloth inner shield that does the real work. I like it because with one Velcro strap iit is much easier for me to put on. I use it more often because of that. It also lets you breathe fairly well. I thought that it was a decent investment for the price. John
Will this work if you have a beard?
Allan J on Feb 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should fit, the one I have the Velcro strap comes undone all the time and I use the safety glass I bought from you with build in ear plugs too. All said it may be tight for with a beard and not hold well.
can you wash them?
Rodney E on Apr 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The cleaning directions says you can hand wash them with soap and water. I took the old filter off and the mask cleaned up well when I used this method, and it dried very quickly.
