Hinge screws
Works great. The black slotted head screws badly need replacing with antique brass Phillips screws.

Good Hinges
Bought these hinges to match the brass finish on a gas fire place in my master bedroom, where I was doing some finishing of the area under the fireplace. I found the slotted screws to be a little difficult to get screwed in with out stripping out the slot. Don't know if Phillips head screws would have worked better as I was finally able to get the screws installed, without having to go to the local hardware store for replacements.

I make treasure boxes for grandchildren so am looking at the different styles of hinges. I have 19 grand kids so far. They get a treasure box when they are 8 years old.

It says 1 1/8 wide- how much of that is the leaf? (in other words will it go on a standard 3/4 thick piece of wood?)
kristen f on Sep 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they will. I used them on a bathroom medicine cabinet that used 1/2" stock for the door frame. They fit with a little room to spare.
Is the pin fixed or removable?
Helen F on Jan 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I haven't removed the pin to find out.
building the prospect box for the glenn huey secretary. he says to use #32949 hinge, which i ordered in antique brass. it appears to be face mounted-i need the hinge to fold flat (inletted) between the door and the box, so that the hinge ball is exposed. am i missing something?
Greg R on Oct 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Greg I used these hinges for the door of a hanging wall clock with glass door. Width of rails and stiles was 1 1/2 inches and overall the door was 9 1.2 x 18. I set the hinges in mortises about 1/8 " deep. The door operated smoothly. The clock case was made of 1/2" stock so the narrow hinges fit perfectly. Bottom line : I was pleased. Chuck
How much weight can they support?
Scott W on May 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't know. I was using them to support a wood and glass door on the front of a clock
