Just what I was looking for.
I was happy to find this style of glide because it matches the glides that came with the chairs. I would recommend these glides. Although they do wear out, replacing them is fairly easy.

Woodworking Experience:
Direct replacement
These are the exact feet that came on my Ethan Allen chairs. They last about five years around people who don't lift the chair to move it.

Woodworking Experience:
Just what I needed.
The online specifications answered everything. I needed glides of different widths on one piece of furniture. I noticed the double nail-on glides and the 7/8" round glides were the same thickness, 1/4". I was able to tap them in perfectly after drilling a 1/16" pilot hole, about three-quarters of the length of the nail. Very easy. The goal was to get the furniture pieces slightly off the floor in case of water leaks. Done. Thanks.

Woodworking Experience:
They tap into the wood easily and stay. I put them on a piano bench that was very noisy when slid across the floor. This solved the problem.

Felt stick-on gliders were used as an option and do not stay on our kitchen chairs. This color hopefully will look better than the white nail-on glides that only some of our oak kitchen chairs still have.

Another option for the bottom surface glides for sculpture base(s). going to give them a try. Again the nylon material is ideal for all surfaces in a display area.

I have wooden dining room chairs that sit most of the time on carpet unless a larger person sits on them then back legs would be on wood floor. Do they slid good on carpet with someone sitting in chair?
Don W on Jun 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Designed to help furniture slide on hard surface floor (hardwood, linoleum or tile). Not designed to glide on carpet, but helps some.

Can these go on Adirondack chairs that sit on a porch?
larry n on Jul 4, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes they could. However since they are nylon, I suspect they would slide rather easily. I have used them on stationary furniture that is not used to sit on and they work quite well. If you use them on the Adirondack chair, you would need the 3/4" or 7/8" on each leg.
How many is in a package?
Danny on Jan 30, 2020

Four. I have used these and have one unopened package of 5/8" glides containing 4 glides.

how deep are these glides?
Barbara S on Feb 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The glides that we got was about 1/2", and the nylon tanish brown part is about 1/4". These are the best glides and work very well on tile, wood, fake wood, and concrete. We won't buy anything else.
can these glides be used on couches?
Baron B on Dec 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, however they are small in size. I purchased them because they fit the tapered legs of my dining chairs. I might suggest finding a wider glide for a sofa. - Justin
Do these really protect hard laminate flooring from from scratching? Many products claim to, but do not.
Larry K on Dec 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I'm using them on chairs on a vinyl floor and they seem to work. Don't know if they would work on laminate
Do they come any bigger? I'd need at least 1 1/2" size for the bottom of my dinning chairs.
